I just needed to vent. I love the mail delivery where I live. On Friday I received a text stating that there was an update on my case status. I checked it, then called USCIS. As it turns out, my post office failed to deliver my USCIS notice to the correct address and of course the post office sent it back to them. The best they can do is send the notice to me again, I have to wonder how long this process will take. The USCIS representative is of course not able to tell me what the notice is about. I knew something was wrong; my status was updated on 10/26 and I received nothing in the mail. I wonder how long it took the post office to send the notice back to USCIS, three weeks? Argh! I guess I just have to be patient and wait . . and wait . . . and wait . . .

my husband's I-485 was transferred to the NBC when we got our first touch on 10/23. Is this a good or bad thing? Has anyone else's case been transferred here?

Ours is at the National Benefits Center as well. Our receipt number starts MSC, I guess for Missouri Service Center. (NBC is MSC)

I think that's pretty standard. Well, I hope so anyway! I see a lot on the forums about Lee's Summit, MO.

Congrats on your bio by the way!

I just got our receipts and I think our forms are off to join all your forms  . It doesn't say transferred but they all have the MSC code. All our envelopes said Lees Summit Missouri, though Chicago post mark. Only thing that confuses me is when I looked at processing times for the NBC it doesn't list I-130 and I-485 times (though does have I-131 & I-765 times). Prob doesn't matter though since we can tell by VJ how longs things take... So happy to have NOA's

Guys how goes it! Did walk-in for Biometrics...worked out well. So far everything seems to be rolling surprisingly quickly.

Hi there!

Couldn't help but notice your local office is Manchester, NH, same as mine. I was going to try walk-in biometrics but figured as it's a small office I probably wouldn't get in. When did you do yours? I'm kicking myself now.

My appointment is on Thursday anyway so I may as well wait now.

Great to have another NH filer in here! Let me know how your interview goes if you get in first, there are not a lot of reviews for Manchester.

CAAO, that is so unlucky. On the positive side, at least you know it's an address problem and not a problem with your case!

While I was reading about all the troubles of postal service, I can't help it wonder that I need to use 'certified mail' for my RFE. According to RFE letter, the address that I need to send is PO box so I don't know the extra cost that I'll pay for 'certified mail 'would worth it. Also I'm wondering whether I need a cover sheet for RFE..... I'm going to send out my RFE tomorrow morning, so I hope that I can back on track soon. phew..

Cheers for all the Oct filers!

They are quite friendly in the office. Even the security guard was quite pleasant. My appt. for the biometrics was scheduled for this Wednesday - the 18th. But figured hey why not try for the walk-in. I would recommend you just go for the walk-in even though your appt is Thurs. I did my walk-in around 3pm and my case was updated the following day. I certainly bid you the best! ;)
