HI everyone,

I need your help more than ever.

I just got the letter for my biometrics appointment, which was scheduled on September 30. It is October 2d today.

it says on the letter: If you fail to appear at the scheduled appointment, your case will be considered abandoned.

Please tell me there is something I can do I am so desperate :(:(:(:(

Check for a ASC office near where you are.

ASC you mean USCIS?

ASC = Application Support Center. You go to such a place for biometrics, among other things.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)

The nearest one is closed on Saturday :( Do I have to wait til Monday?! Won't that be too late?! I can't even call USCIS cause they're closed on Week-ends!!

I called USCIS many times about my appointment letter and they just said: wait til 30 days after the receipt date :(:(:( Oh My gooodddddddd I am sooo desperate :(:(:(:(:(:(:((:(

i dont think so but be ready to explain the situation, and a proof that u didnt receive the bio letter sooner than the appt date. pray to Allah (GOD)

I am in such a small town right now, there is no ASC opened on Saturday. The closest one is 3 1/2 hours away... and I would have to take a taxi that would cost me nearly 300 dollars.

Do you think it's worth it or I can just wait til Monday for my infopass ?

I SO don't want them to consider my case abandonned.

Would it do anything if I went? would they even see me?

PLEASE help me :(:(:(

Just curious, why didn't you get your letter til today? What date was the postmark?

Because like I said, all the mail is going to my brother in law and he only opened it today and scanned it to me :(:( We're always travelling cause my husband works in a show,so that's the only way we can get mail ( we change every week...) The date is September 3d :(:(:( I cannot believe he didn't open it before :(:(:(:( You really can't trust people.

Should I go to the ASC that is 3h30 away?
