Hi everyone, just thought I would post this as I seen previous VJer's asking. I arrived in the US the 4th of September. We are getting married the end of November. I went today to open a bank account, which I thought wasn't probably not going to happen as I don't have a social security number yet. GOOD NEWS! I opened one at Chase. They just needed my Canadian Drivers License, my Passport and my K-1 Visa. They were able to open an account for me. YEAH!!! On my way to establishing myself. They were so nice at the bank. I went there as they were the only bank here, and I went to 3 others who would do exchange for my canadian money. I thought they would be the best bet and they were. Monday I am going to go see about my social security card. Have a great weekend all!

Cool, my fiance's with Chase, so now I know I can get one without an SSN card.

Thanks for the info.

Oh, my Canadian driver's license is expired, you still think they'd take it?

She needed that for the former canadian address, and picture and nothing else. She said she needed the canadian passort number and the visa control number. Good luck!
