Hi guys, I have one question - 2011 DV lottery just begun, I wonder if I can enter the lottery. I am in US for 1 year now, came on K1 visa and got married, recently applied for adjustment of status, no results yet. In instruction for the lottery it is said that people who are already in the US can apply, but I am not sure if it's applicable to my situation.

Why on earth would you want to apply for the lottery when you are only couple of months away from the regular GC?

Why would you apply?! Assuming you are eligible, the chances of being picked is really slim coz hundreds of thousands join this lottery.

Maybe there is something you are not completely telling us?

Thank you all for your replies any way, I already found in instruction that you can adjust your status if you are selected.
