JFK POE Question

I've searched the website trying to find the answer to this question, but I dunno... my searches were all fruitless (which of course means someone will post with a link to an answer for this exact question and was able to find the info after like 2 minutes of searching lol), but maybe someone has some ideas about this --

My fiance' will be flying into the NYC (JFK) on July 27th. He's leaving from Tirana, Albania and then going into Vienna, Austria for an 1 1/2 layover and then onto the US (!) My question is in regard to the customs forms everyone is required to fill out prior to landing in the US. He only speaks Italian and Albanian and while I know that those customs forms ARE available in a variety of languages, I'm concerned that since he will be flying Austrian Airlines (Airways? I would have prefered Alitalia, but the Austrian Airlines one was like $600 less expensive and the only one we could afford) they will only have those forms onboard in English and German. Does anyone know if there's a way I can call someone and let them know this passenger would need to have those forms in Italian? Or will they automatically include some forms in Albanian (if they're even printed in Albanian) since (I presume) he won't be the only person on the flight from Albania?

I'm a little worried about this since, I mean, he speaks NO ENGLISH at all, let alone being able to read it and understand statements like "What is the purpose of your trip?" and "where do you intend to stay in the United States?" etc. Maybe I can search online and try and find a copy of the form so I can prepare him? But it would be much easier if he could actually read the form for himself.

Thanks for any advice/help!

- Karen

CBP does not have Customs Forms in Albanian. I would get the one in English and then ask if anyone could help him...

As an alternative, you could download one, fill it out for him, send it to him so he can copy it when he gets the actual form.

Yeah, I figure that's what I will do (downloading the form so he can copy it). Thanks :)
