Well I am sorry to hear about your troubles, but if you wanna be vindictive. Do NOT cancel the petition let it die its own natural death and NOBODY can file for here for a long period of time :)

[/b]

I like your thinking!!!! :devil::thumbs:

This is twisted reasoning. This woman has done you a great favor by calling this off before you did something stupid like MARRY her and then she would break your heart worse by running off with her other man after you did all the trouble to get her here. Be happy. I wouldn't worry about her again or even give her a thought that would take away from your future plans and happiness. DO NOTHING that isn't a benefit to yourself. If it beenfits you to notify USCIS, then do so. If it makes no difference, get to buying that plane ticket to Kiev.

(F) im sorry to read what has happened to you, but thanks God it happened before u married her. I hope that does not come off as rude.........but it would be even worse if there was a child involved and u found out later......good luck to u

and dont worry not all people are bad in that country or any other country...........try to find someone else again....take ur time......and enjoy life for a while before going back into the immigration nightmare u will be more prepared emotionally for that later.......

I kinda felt bad after reading your post.

I agree with some of the posters here that you need to take time on knowing somebody else to avoid this from happening again.

You wasted precious time and money on her. I hope she realizes that she could be haunted for life on this ridiculous thing she did.

Plus, I discourage you on giving money.

I know it's a generous thing to do but some women tend to think about more on the money than the one sending them.

Now, move on put everything behind.

Good Luck!

Hello every one, This would be Tom without Judy on this post. I have sad news,

Judy has decided not to go to the interview. This comes as a shock to me, but to some of you saw this coming.

Her reason is simple, One of her past boyfriends came back. And to keep it short. Money was involved.

She still wants to be friends. I still do talk to her.

But she is telling me now that I have to wait 2 years before I can file another Petition for someone else.

And for her it's 6 months for someone to file a petition on her behalf......IS THIS TRUE?

My orignal posts were under the name of Hoping2..

Tom

Sorry to hear that. I think what you should do, just call the NVC and let them know the situation. The sooner the better.... I hope everything will be alright for you... take care and god bless....

I hate that when I see she wants to be friends because she made her choice between

LOVE AND MONEY and (wink wink) she wants to have her cake and eat it too,

just in case MONEY finds someone more attractive.

I would give the long-distance romance a break and check out the local talent.

This is a tough road to haul, I know from experience (almost 6 years since we met).

My situation is turning out for the best hopefully and I have very few doubts.

When I married my ex I had many doubts at that very time and they were all founded.

Best of luck to you, I feel your pain.

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you.

But, the problem I have with these kinds of posts (and there are MANY) is that you you are already worried about whether (and when) you can apply for a different person.

What ever happened to giving some time to getting past the current relationship and then when you're ready, getting involved with someone else? And WHY would you not try to meet someone in your own country to make things simpler on everyone?

I realize everyone here on VJ has married (or plans to marry) someone from a foreign country (including myself), but I certainly didn't plan it that way. I would much rather have met and married someone in my home country of Canada, but when I met my husband online, it was not a planned thing.

I just don't get it!!!

I second this post; I said you should check out the local talent; you have to have breathing room

because you have a two year wait before you can re-apply and then it's hurry up and wait all over again.

By checking out the local talent I mean give some time to just meet women online

and talk to them without discrimination regarding nationality or racial background

and just try to learn from them what you have been doing wrong, not by jumping

into a relationship but by seeing how they deal with family problems & relationship

problems. Learn from their mistakes so you make fewer of your own. I did that

for many years after several relationships with Asians culminating in a marriage

to the wrong one. After I sorted things out in my head, I met my SO by pure chance

and how we related had nothing to do with the fact she was Asian. She just made

sense more than any of the others; physical attraction came later.

I chatted with women between the ages of 20 to 60, fat, thin, Asian, Black, Spanish,

mostly White, married, divorced, single, just seeing what their problems were and

sharing mine with them. One even had a terminal disease, lupus. One was murdered

by her husband (another mutual friend informed me). It was a great learning

experience and for that I am most grateful, but since I met my SO I stopped

chatting with ALL of the others. I just knew it when I met the right one, but if

the feeling is not mutual, you're wasting your time. You didn't see the signs

and I misread the signs with my ex. Your re-education starts now.

There is no such thing as having to wait to file a new petition for whomever you want. When you file it, you simply enclose a request for waiver, briefly explaining what happened with the first petition (BRIEFLY) and put it in the mail. It's just a paper routine required by the VAWA law.

As to her, since she obtained no visa, anyone can file a petition on her behalf, also.

I think we are saying the same thing, but in different ways. Yes, the OP just needs to explain what happened and request waiver of IMBRA. NO need to request a separate IMBRA document to fill out, unless you like extra paperwork to do.

Well I am sorry to hear about your troubles, but if you wanna be vindictive. Do NOT cancel the petition let it die its own natural death and NOBODY can file for here for a long period of time :)

I like your thinking!!!! :devil::thumbs:

---------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry, but this thinking is an irrational position and not based in fact. You can't "cancel" a petition once it has been approved by the USCIS. You can withdraw your affidavit of support and give the USCIS info on any misleading or deceit on behalf of your beneficiary. That way, she will have questions to answer at her next embassy interview.

This being the Phillipines consulate and her still having an open petition with a USC will raise a Big Ole' Red Flag and deservedly so...there has been no affidavit of support filed yet so there is not one to withdraw. Are you making this up?

It is important for the petitioner to notify in writing the USCIS, NVC, USEM of exactly what happened so the man's slate is cleared in case he wants to file another petition. You don't just do nothing and end up screwing yourself.

Where did you read this info and can you give me a link that says this is the procedure, how will you screw yourself? No real reason to notify USCIS at all, there is no slate to clean he will still have to file a waiver if he files again in the next 2 years...so there is NO NEED at all to clear his name now.

LOL
