I have been keeping an eye on peoples timelines here...how is it possible apply in August, NOA1 , then NOA 2 Also August...and approval? Also How is it correct that K1 Visas are faster to approve than people filing for K3, married already? this is upside down...

Our case has not been touched since the first time back in June 6th, for the I130, and June 26 for the I129f..nothing, no status change, no updates, no info, nothing...until your past 5 months there is nothing anyone will tell you...this system is broken...over 2 million applications a year, they need HELP!...we are taking the legal route yet we must wait in LIMBO, with nobody telling us anything, as people walk across our borders...this is so frustrating,

God, how I miss my wife...

Why can nothing be done? Don't we as fee payers and tax payers pay these people salary? does congrees work for us?

Oh, how frustrating and heartbreaking is this process...grown men brought to tears...

I applied during the fee increase rush, July 07. Took sixteen months to get the visa. Been in tears many times. I was within a couple of months from leaving the US.

Unfortunately, this is not too uncommon. I Hope that you get good news soon.......

You may check out our timeline...it's real. Filed I-130 at the end of July and we were approved in 21 days. I don't know how they do it. My husband did send as much proof of our relationship as he could (my visa package was more than an inch thick lol) and we never got an RFE. Nor did we expedite our case. Got my visa in less than 5 months. I guess it depends on the kind of person who gets to adjudicate your case at USCIS.

But hang in there...some have waited even longer. It'll happen when it'll happen. Meantime, get the next documents you will need once you get your approval. And keep your relationship strong. The process will definitely try you and your wife's relationship; do not, at all costs, let it be affected.

Good luck to you :)

We waited over 100 days for our I-130 NOA2, and 94 days for our I-129F NOA2 (we're doing K3 just like you are).

I saw the timeline of one of the VJ members (kalapino, also K3), it took 15 days to approve his I-129F NOA2...but if you looked at his timeline closely, they have been trying to get his SO a visa since 2008.

Also, remember that they expedite petitions filed through Direct Consular Filing (DCF) and if the petitioner is in the military service. The bad thing about DCF though is that there is NO way for you to track the progress on your petition through CRIS...the Consulate will just contact you if you have been approved or not...I don't know about the other VJ members, but for me that is even harder on the spirit. The trade off is that it is processed much quicker.

Like you we saw people around us getting NOA2s within 60 days or less. Not that I would even attempt to understand how USCIS does their business (I work for a Canadian immigration firm, and the parallels and differences between the two systems are marked), but given my line of work, it was very frustrating indeed because often I would ask myself, Canada does it this way...how does the U.S. do it?

We even suspected that the USCIS didn't do anything to our application for 3 months because part of that waiting period (we filed in May), my husband was in the Philippines on vacation (from June to August)...the Feds knew he was here...we wondered if they were just waiting for him to return to the U.S. to continue processing the petition? I guess we will never know.

All the same I will take 100+ days over 365.

Good luck with your journey, I hope you receive a response from them very soon.

I am sorry for you situation right now, CSC are doing great these past few these, we got approved after 32 days but now I am waiting for the NVC to receive our case. It's really frustrating knowing that there's a lot of people got approved while you are stuck.

Just pray and find something to do to keep your mind away from thinking for the meantime.

given the differences between the k-1, k-3, and ir-1/cr-1, it's understandable there will be a wide disparity between processing times.
