But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

The day after Ms. Ux's Kayone became Mrs. Ux she called the Vietnam Vets to have all my bachelor furniture hauled away together with 3/5 of my life-long wardrobe :crying:

I was ready to declare a marriage fraud and post the whole sordid post- VJ experience on VJ. :crying:

Fortunately, the procrastinator in me kicked into action and intent stayed as intent :dance: he he

We then found a house we both love (oh, I so enjoy our weekends together at home). But then, war broke out between the Ethan Allen lover and IKEA 'naut. And guess who won...IKEA

Now I am all for contemporary minimalist when it comes to furniture.

This is our dining room.. :yes:

Lots of cool pics on here! Isn't it neat that no matter where people are from we're all into basically the same things? I think we forget that sometimes.

Here is a photo of Elena and I in Moscow last summer. She's going there on Wednesday for her interview. I feel good about it because last year we were there together, and this year she's back on the exact same date to finish up. (Oh, there's a GIGANTIC IKEA store in Moscow. Elitny Moscovites love IKEA. It's a huge status symbol.)

:lol::lol::lol:

You have a way with words, Mr. Ux! This story reminds me of a newlywed coworker from years past; we worked in the men's department of a local store. As soon as her hubby (a naval officer) went on deployment, she immediately discarded all his clothes and replaced them with garments more to her liking. By the time he returned, there wasn't much he could do about it.

I am still fighting this battle with my husband of five months....many of our evenings out begin with the words "is that what you plan to wear?" Recently he did some painting in the bathroom, which was great except that he opted to use his most expensive pair of pants to paint in. With oil base paint. Sigh. Everything else he has is either athletic shorts or jeans.

My kudos to Mrs. Ux for her achievement....and your dining room looks great!

I fight as well ...well not really ... i make a BIG effort to make small suggestions but then I leave at that. There are many times when I want to say something but I just keep my mouth shut (so hard ) lol but then I just think he is a grown man and he doesn't need me to dress him, though I have the tendency to feel I really need to at times lol.

My favorite picture of Tom with my dog Sadie... taken 14 months ago during one of his visits here in the states with me.

Sadly, Sadie is no longer with us but when she fell in love with him, I fell in love with him even more. Dogs know...

I hope this works. I had posted it a long time ago in a thread on the old forum and I have found it is still stored on site somewhere.

That's a really cool photo because you can't see the glass, and it looks like the water is magically being held in the tank by your hand!
