Activating a K-1 visa while driving into the US

Hey guys!

Bryan has his visa in hand, and is starting to plan his drive down next month. He'll be driving through the POE at I-5 in Washington/BC, and is wondering if there's a specific time he'll have to go to have an officer activate his visa? Is it a 9-5 thing, or would he be able to drive through anytime?

05-05-2009: Mailed I-129F

05-15-2009: NOA1

05-20-2009: Check cashed

08-19-2009: NOA2 Email

08-24-2009: NOA2 Hardcopy

08-24-2009: NVC In

08-26-2009: NVC Out

08-28-2009: Consulate Received

09-03-2009: Packet 3 Received

09-04-2009: Packet 3 Returned (via fax)

09-04-2009: Interview date (by email)

09-08-2009: Packet 4 received

09-16-2009: Medical Appointment

09-17-2009: Interview

09-22-2009: Visa in hand

10-20-2009?: POE

10-31-2009: Legal marriage

05-22-2010: <3 Our wedding <3

Our wait is almost over <3

He can drive through at any time. Just make sure he goes to either Blaine crossing and not Sumas or Huntington.

I just entered on a K1 visa through Sumas two weeks ago. It IS a 24/7 crossing and it went as smoothly as you could imagine! In and out in about an hour with no problems what-so-ever.

Engaged on January 2, 2009

Mailed I-129F Forms to CSC on March 4, 2009

Medical successfully completed on August 26, 2009

Interview successfully completed on September 1, 2009

Visa in-hand, September 3, 2009

POE Sumas, Washington September 18, 2009

Wedding Las Vegas, NV October 20, 2009

AP approved - January 12, 2010

EAD approved - January 14, 2010

Green Card - Approved (through CSC) February 9th, 2010
