I-130 already approved but suddenly there's an RFE?

Hi Everyone,

My petition for my mom was approved last sept 1. and now in NVC, i even paid the AOS bill and DS-3032 is already completed.

Then suddenly i received an email from USCIS that my mom's case is under RFE. they send a mail last sept 29, 2009 for the docs that they are requiring.

Is this normal?

How come that I received an approval last sept 1, if the case is the not yet approved.?

I called USCIS and thet said that we still need to comply with the RFE...

Do you guys experience the same thing?

The case is with NVC? That makes no sense. I would call USCIS and see what they are talking about.

Because you didn't send them yet DS-230, what you're getting now is the false RFE, I think... Call NVC and see what AVR will say. If it says they are waiting on your DS-230 to be sent to them, then nothing to worry about, it's just their f... system

Thanks for your response. Yes its already in NVC and on process. I called USCIS and they said, eventhough its been approved, we still need to comply on the RFE.

Just waiting for the RFE now. Hope it wont be that hard.

UN-BELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How in the world can USCIS do that? Im hope you get this settled quickly!!!!
