Most of them can be filled out by hand without any problems.

The DS-156 now pretty much has to be done online, though. The computers at DOS generate a rectangular bar code on the finished form that contains everything you entered on the form. The consulate only needs to scan the bar code to enter all of the form data at once. DOS is supposed to be gradually moving many of their forms to this online format. Personally, I think it sucks because you can't easily save the data. If you goof, you start over.

BTW, please put all your timeline stuff into your signature. That way, people who quote you won't end up quoting all your timeline stuff. Click on "My Controls" at the top of the page, and then click on "Edit Signature" in the left hand panel.

For my wife and first k-2 they were entirely handwritten. For the second, k-2 to follow, it was part done on the computer and part handwritten. No problems. Print neatly

OK trying this again. Try to get all that mess out of your signature and put it in your timeline area, that is annoying!

I filled out the forms for my wife and one K-2 by hand entirely. For the second K-2 to follow, The forms were partly done on a computer and partly by hand. Print neatly
