In order for us to help you, you really need to fill in your timeline. It will show us what you have rec'd and at what time frames.

You got the NOA1, did you actually rec've the NOA2?, the next package would be packet 3 with the medical etc... just email Montreal again. If you did not get an NOA2 and Montreal is not getting back to you, they may not have rec'd your file. If you did get the NOA2, and not packet 3, then communication has broken down somewhere at the Consulate.

Email them again, keep the email short and concise. Send the same email every 3 days until you hear back, if not, try calling DOS to see if they have an update in their system.

Fill in your timeline, we will be able to help you out better...and relax, it took me 8 months to reach the stage you are at, and it takes another 3-4 months for an interview date...chances are, you have not missed an interview. And I was told, once you are at the Consulate stage, if there is an error...they will just reschedule you...at worst, you lose a month or so of further waiting...not that bad.

Hang in there....

Call NVC and ask them when they forwarded your file to the embassy: That is the only way to truly know if it is there.

Also, not to upset you, if they say your petition is still at NVC ask if it is in AP. Its is not common for K visas to get AP at NVC and NVC will not tell you its in AP unless you ask: NVC 1-603-334-0700

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Well it should have a case number on it. Have you logged into http://www.uscis.gov and added your case to check the status?

I tried with my case number mtl... but it says case cannot be found, for uscis website where I used to check my status witing for NOA its always the same it says notice of approval sent...

the online thing requires the receipt number from the NOA1, not the case number beginning with MTL. But I don't know that the online thing is very useful. At least, it's not for me, and I'm at the same stage as you.

Hang tight, and fill in your profile and timeline.. get cozy. There are lots of details to take in, I'm using this time to study up on some of the stuff ahead :star:

I filed K3 (I was already married so K1 didn't apply to me) My husband is in America now and has been for two years (almost) No more USCIS till October 28th means that is the date I will file to remove the 2 year condition off my husbands Greencard so he can get his ten year.

The one that requires NOA1 receipt number says notice of approval sent its been like that since NOA2 I think the file is out of uscis now

you may be waiting another month to hear from Montreal, due to their backlog. No need to bug them....

I was just scared that I missed the interview but I dont mind waiting

Your original post painted a different picture...seeing the additional info you have provided....you are no where near missing your interview. Montreal is running at about 4 months. You will interview likely in Dec or Jan....you have to take into account a few holidays fall in there (Canadian Thanksgiving, US Thanksgiving) Xmas etc.... this may extend the 4 month-ish thing a bit. You normally get your interview letter 3-4 weeks prior.

The place you should be calling now for updates is DOS. You call with your 'MTL#' and they will advise if your packet 3 is logged and rec'd and if an interview is scheduled.

A good indicator to see when your interview may come, is in the Canadian forum under 'K1's waiting for Interviews in Montreal'...I assume ur K1...they have a thread for K3's and CR visa's....this way you can follow others with similar timeframes, rather than sitting in the dark.

Hang in there, you have a couple months still to go....just ensure all your docs are up to speed and your ready to go :)

Good luck :)
