not taking egyptian husbands last name

Hi,

This is my first post here even though I have been reading the entire time I was living in Egypt and going through the cr1 with my husband.My question is I will not take my husbands last name as this is customary in Egypt.Woman retain there maiden name for the duration of marriage,of course if I wanted to I could.I am not wanting to do this because I am a self employed in my own buisness and my name is my credential.Will this have any impact on my husbands lifting of conditions when that time comes?

You will be fine.... it is your choice to take your husband's surname or keep your own. As long as you can show that you are married, the last name is not important.

No problem with that. There are other countries/cultures where women keep their own surname.

I have kept my maiden name, all was fine for AOS and I assume will be fine for ROC too
