hello guys! i hope all is well to each and everyone. Anyway, I just to want to share that upon calling the NVC this afternoon, I found out that my case was complicated on September 29, 2009 and that I have to wait for 8 weeks for further instruction. But is it possible for me or my husband to call NVC and inquire about interview date/s? I hope you can give some advice and info. THANK YOU in advance!

Completed or complicated?

If COMPLETED - no, don't call NVC - they won't have any info on interview dates.

the DOS hotline will have the rest of the INFO that you need.

FWIW, once the casefile leaves NVC, DOS will have current info.

GIVE DOS a call, ask for 'case status'.

GOOD LUCK!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

CR1 applicants must contact NVC for interview status. DOS is ONLY to be contacted if you are a K1 applicant.

If you have a case number MNLXXXXXXXX. You can access the interview dates at us embassy manila website. You can google it. Then, Go to the Immigrant Visa section of the website, then you should see the check interview date. Type in your case number (MNLXXXXXXXX) and your interview date should be there. whoo - my bad !! i was applying 'what happens at GUZ'.

for GUZ, NVC doesn't schedule interviews at all. A petitioner HAS to call DOS for updated case status, an 'appointment date' is one of those 'case status things' you can get with a call to DOS. But DOS only has it cause GUZ set it - they share some info across a computer system.

Sorry, I gave bad info... Beat me up soonish?

Guz is a different type of post than most consulates. I would say to not compare others to it. :D

Congrats on case complete, most likely you'll receive an e-mail from NVC with interview date scheduled. Also, NVC schedules interviews every 2nd week of each month for the following month. Good luck  and :time: Thank you :)

it might be just this month, sometimes they make exceptions, but in general it's the second week of each month...
