I am a green card holder in usa and my wife lives outside. what is the fastest way that i can get her here in the USA?

i am unable to get my passport, and the only way i can get my wife here is through the green card.. What is the fastest way to bring her here? and what forms do i need to complete?

As an LPR it won't be a "fast process." You can upgrade the petition once you become a US Citizen.

It takes years to bring your spouse to the US when you are a LPR.

File I-130 for your wife and N-400 for your naturalization (if you can) as soon as possible, and upgrade the I-130 once you become a USC.

I think this is the fastest way to bring her here.

what do you mean by you unable to get your passport??? and there is no fastest way of having your wife here if youre a LPR...just want to give you an idea that i filed my i130 petition for my spouse Aug. 2007 and all i got right now is the receipt that they received it.... if youre lucky enough, it will take 3 yrs but 4-5 years the most....

just file I-130 for your spouse and once you are eligible for naturalization then, you can upgrade your petition and that will take shorter time. how long have you been here in the US anyway?

That sounds just a tad bit off. If you are a permanent resident, your passport is issued by the country of your nationality, not by the US government. That said, which government denied you a passport?

OK - thanks for the backgrounder.

Assuming you are a LEGAL permanent resident, you can file an I-130 for your wife. I am not sure of the time lag for waiting on a priority number, but for PR's it's a longer wait than for USCs. BUT - you can start the filing NOW.

Later, when you become a USC, you can contact USCIS, prove up your citizenship for HER I-130, and the I-130 will be pulled out of the 'hold box' into an 'active queue', and then you'll see some 'normal' processing times.

There's other considerations on this, but I'm sticking with the 'short version', for now.

If you are an LPR, it will take about 5 years for you to petition for your wife. That is the fastest that you can bring her over based on your status as an LPR. LPRs who filed for their spouses before June 1, 2005 are only now eligible for visas. Non-USCs sponsoring their spouses are not a priority in the immigration system. The reason is that if the couple wanted to be together, the LPR could have choosen not to immigrate.
