Is any body there can help me pls ...My wife just received the packet 3 for K-3 visa from Montreal Consulat , according to it , The interview might takes approximately 4 to 6 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what going on with this service ?!!! we have told all the process will take less, after the consulat will received the documents from NVC!!! Iam going crazy with those news !

First of all , we got married in montreal in 2008 and I knew The K-3 visa must be applied for in the country where the marriage took place , that why i sent my I129 and cover letter asking USCIS that i need her packet will send to Morocco Casablanca , i taught the case gonna be there in morocco after the I129 was approved !!! wich is they accpepted my favor !!!!

Last week, while i received email from the NVC that they sent the packet to the consulat in Montreal ,my wife had her flight to morocco last sunday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she cancelled her ticket now!!!!!!!!!

By the way i already left the contry (USA) and iam in Morocco because we had plan for our cermony with our families in october !!!!!!! now i have no clue what iam gonna do ! i cant stay here more than 4 weeks and she is waiting there !!!!

my question is :

Is it true to wait 4 to 6 monhts for her interview ???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can she goes there and explain to them our situation by walking since no body answer my calls ?!!!!

What the right documents they need exactly beside the forms ?

AS information ,my wife had visa for 3 years to USA ,can we cancel the I129 and bring her with me to USA and complete her case since she already has a visa ?!!

plsssssssssssssssssssssssssss iam going crazy here and i need some help plsssssssssssssssssssssssss

thank you very much

Montreal is a very slow consulate.

They're the only Canadian consulate that does CR-1 visas, thus jamming in 3 kinds of visas into an already jammed up consulate.

They're taking upwards of 3+ months to assign interviews at the moment.

That I know of, there's no way to push your interview date to be faster than the others, they just don't work that way.

You're not the only one who hates the fact that Montreal is horribly slow. I think pretty much all of us Canadians do.

I'm not sure how to answer your other questions though. Just the one about the consulate.

It's a sad situation for the two of you, for sure. But there is nothing you can do except read all the instructions and get advice here if needed. If she is a legal resident or citizen of Canada, she can come to the US anytime she wants for a visit. It would be illegal for her to visit you in the US and then try to stay based on marriage.

Im waiting on the same thing for my husband. He lives in Montreal and his case was just completed on Sept 24. I pray that it's not taking that long for Montreal Embassy to schedule interviews. Last time I talked to NVC operator she said all the interviews were taken up for Oct. She did not say anything about Nov I hope he can be scheduled in Nov, so he can be home for Thanksgiving.

Mst, Montreal is averaging 90+ days to schedule an interview.

Why are they taking so long?

I NEED SOME HELP PLZZZZ

Two weeks ago i received the envelop from the us consulate in montreal, and they are saying : please complete and return to this office :

1-DS-230 PART 1

2-DS-160

3-DS-156

4-DS156K

AND THE CONFIRMING RECEIPT REGARDING FORM DS-160

AND CHECKLIST (ENCLOSED) INDICATING YOU HAVE OBTAINED THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

SO MY QUESTIONS ARE:

DO I HAVE TO SEND THEM ALL ONE SHUT, EVEN AFTER MY MEDICAL EXAM?

DO I HAVE TO SEND THE ds-230 FIRST AND AFTER THE REST?

SO PLZ IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME, I AM AFRAID TO BE LATE IF I WAIT TILL I FINISH EVERYTHING AND THEN SEND THEM

It's the only consulate in Canada that processes immigrant visas. There is a gigantic backlog because of this.

Montreal: BEAT!!! Approved!!!!!

You'll be waiting for a while.

It's taking them 3+ months to schedule anything right now, so I wouldn't count on anything for this year.
