form I-797D to report stolen green card

Hi!

Well I went to the infopass website, did my appointement and got it for tomorrow, so I will show up and tell them that my green card got stolen and that I have to file form I751 for removing conditions but I don't have a copy of my green card.

I print form I90 and also take a copy of the police report, my drives license and passport. I went thru my old documents (all the letters I have received from USCIS) and I just found form I 797D. This is the form that my green card was attached. It saids on the top "use this section to speed your application for an extension or REPLACEMENT CARD" and my case is to get a replacement and I need right away since I have only 2 month to file form I751 which it clearly saids to attached a copy of your green card.

Has anybody before file form I90 with form I797D???

Don't file anything until you speak with IO at InfoPass.

You can file I-90 (replacement) and pay for it. Will you get a GC in 2 months? :no:

What's more, once you file I-751, it will stop processing of your I-90, so you would have spent your money for nothing.

See if they give you a stamp in your passport in lieu of filing I90 and you can use that I-551 stamp as your greencard.

CR-1 Timeline

March'07 NOA1 date, case transferred to CSC

June'07 NOA2 per USCIS website!

Waiver I-751 timeline

July'09 Check cashed.

Jan'10 10 year GC received.
