Ex's GC interview

Breif background info...I am the USC....my ex husband just had his gc interview for a 10 year gc today...he never told me he was filing...i had a feeling he would and i guess it really doesn't matter if he told me or not..ok here is my question...I got a call from him today saying that he just had his interview and he told me certain questions that they asked him..pretty much all of his answers were not truthfull at all...he then told me that whoever interviewed him asked for my number and they wanted to call me to talk to me...has anyone ever heard of this?? i haven't gotten a call yet..

I am just wondering if this whole thing is true or just a made up story which would not suprise me at all!

It is possible. They may contact you to verify the information he told them if they suspect he isn't telling the truth. I would certainly verify the identity of anyone who says they are calling from USCIS, however, before you answered any questions.

Yeah they could question you, but if you are divorced he probably filed on the basis of divorce which is something you can't really control. Just answer as honest as you possibly can. Depends on the relationship you have with him on if you are willing to lie for him, but I would remain honest.

Thanks for the info!!! So far no calls...so we shall see if I do actually get a call! I plan on being very honest with them as to why we are divorced, his answers were way off, but I am sure he did that to make himself look good!

yep i know...not really suprising though!! All the lies I have delt with before, why not add some more to the mix!

His casefile may be tagged to be reviewed by the Fraud Prevention Unit. If that's the case, expect at least a phone call.

Thanks! That is what I am thinking because I divorced him before his 2 year time span for the conditional gc...so i am just waiting for some kind of call from them!
