Police Report

I know I have asked this before, but just trying to get clarification. I have heard that it takes from 1 week to a month to get the police report from the MVD in Moscow. Does anyone know EXACTLY how long it takes? My fiancee has only lived 1 place in Moscow all her life. So it should not be difficult to get the report.

As with many things in Russia... there is no exact time. As stated, it will take anywhere between 1 week to 1 month. As I'm sure visaveteran would be happy to point out, a small "gift" given to the right individual might move the process along a little more quickly.

When is her interview Kylejb?

November 20.

You have PLENTY of time to get the Police Certificate. Just have her go ask for it asap, if she hasn't already. Even if it takes the extreme of a month to receive, you'll have it in plenty of time.

Oh... and FYI -- we WERE one day ahead of you. Lesya's interview is November 19th.

She is going this week. She has been at her dacha and is going back to Moscow on Wed. So she will be asking for it on Thursday or Friday.. so we should be ok.

I just hope that is enough time. All this long journey and stress, and don't want any delays. She (as I KNOW ALL OF YOU FEEL THE SAME) is my life and just want it to finally get thru all of this...

As Rob said, you have PLENTY of time. Don't sweat it at all. Seriously, you have better things to worry about. Breathe. ;)

I think one former poster, Bobalouie, had some problems with the police report but it's usually done within 30 days.

Hey Alla's interview is November 20. Maybe if you free up some information the two gals can meet up, maybe ahead of time. PM me if you wish to stay secretive. I can ask Alla about the police cert; I think she cranks them out of the office in one day's time.

Phil

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
