We just spoke with UCSIS as it's been over 30 days since we received I797C (Notice of Action). The representative stated that if the card is not returned to their office as undeliverable, we will have to pay the application fee AGAIN of $370!! This seems crazy to us as it's almost been one year since we filed our I-130 application and we thought we were at the end of this process. The operator advised us to wait another 2 months to see if the post office will return it to their office.

Has anyone had this experience and/or can anyone offer us advice? :crying:

10/30/2008 - Mailed I-130 to Chicago Lockbox

11/03/2008 - I-130 delivered to Chicago Lockbox

11/07/2008 - NOA1 received

01/13/2009 - Transferred to CSC

02/09/2009 - I-130 Approved

Gotta start with the basic questions: Did you move since filing the I-130? If so, did you update the USCIS using the AR-11 form?

No, we haven't moved. At the airport at my husband's first point of entry, he confirmed with customs the address where the greencard should be mailed and that address hasn't changed.

Sorry everyone- we just received our greencard today! Can't believe it took 30 days to get to us but at least it's here. Good luck to everyone waiting for their greencard and hopefully it helps to know that sometimes the post office can deliver mail.
