(09-28) 12:09 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco's Transbay Terminal was evacuated and three blocks of Mission Street were closed this morning following the discovery of a suspicious package, authorities said.The terminal at First and Mission streets was ordered evacuated at 11:19 a.m. after the package was found there, said Lt. Mindy Talmadge of the Fire Department. Mission Street between Second and Beale streets was closed.

The police bomb squad was summoned to examine the package and went into the terminal at 11:49 a.m., Talmadge said.

Muni redirected several lines away from the Transbay Terminal. They are the 5-Fulton, the 6-Parnassus, the 10-Townsend, the 14-Mission, the 38-Geary and the 108-Treasure Island.

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) – Police say they’ve determined that a suspicious package found on a Muni bus near San Francisco’s Transbay Terminal was a backpack filled with clothing.

Had one a couple of days ago in Dallas. A foreign national bought a fake bomb from an undercover agent, placed it under a high rise.

Of course, it did not go off, but he did. IN HANDCUFFS!!!!
