Affidavit of Support questions #9 & #10

Really I am concerned about questions 10: "That I have submitted visa petition(s) to the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) on behalf of the

following person(s)."

Is this with regard to why I am submitting the I-134 at this time, or should I put down any person that I petitioned for? My ex-wife's parents are not US citizens and I submitted affidavits for their visitor visas years ago. Do I put them there, or is it just for this K-1 visa application?

Some times getting old documents from my ex is difficult, so I am hoping that I have all the info needed without stirring that potential hornet's nest again.

I've read around VJ and other sites and have probably just filled my head with doubts. So if anyone with experience with a similar situation could offer some guidance I would greatly appreciate it.

Anh map,

Isn't all of this paperwork fun?

---------------------------------------------------------------

I-134 Question #9: That I have previously submitted affidavit(s) of support for the following persons. If none, state "None."

I put "none" because I have never submitted an I-134 on behalf of anyone before.

In your explanation in regards to your ex-wife's relatives, I think your saying that you submitted I-134 Affidavit of Support forms as a sponsor for their visitors visas years ago, correct? If that is correct, I think you would list them under question #9, not question #10.

I-134 Question #10: That I have submitted visa petition(s) to the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) on behalf of the following person(s). If none, state none.

I put my fiancee's name and the date I submitted her I-129F petition to USCIS. I think I did this right, because I have in fact submitted a visa petition to USCIS on her behalf.

There is an excellent member on VisaJourney with the username "Yodrak" and he/she has excellent answers regarding ALL questions about the visa process. If your lucky, maybe he/she will see this post and chime in, or you could try sending a personal message and see what happens. Yodrak has helped me with excellent directional answers several times in the past.

Best of luck to you both! As chuckandkim always tells me, "Think BIG PICTURE."

STL, thanks for the heads up regarding Yodrak. I agree with you about #9, it's #10 that's got me scratching my head.

I'll be working in your hometown neck of the woods in a few weeks. Work takes me to Chesterfield, MO a few weeks before heading to HCMC. So if you need something not too bulky brought over, let me know. Of course you'll be packing up the pink slip soon enough, but let me know if I can help.

Anh map,

No problem. I hope Yodrak can help you out. I'm sure there are others here on the Vietnam side that can help too.

Chesterfield, MO is very near my "neck of the woods". Appreciate your offer to carry over some goods during your trip, but we've got it all.

Safe travels to you and enjoy your time in August!
