Hi all , I got an update on sep 24th that they sent me another ref by mail on sep 23rd ,

how long does it take to recieve it in mail ?

second if i respond same day how long does it take them to update my case?

usually 1-2 weeks

it can be anywhere from a few days to a month, or even more sometimes

That would depend on when they mail it out and how long it take for the mail man to put it in your box. That's like asking how long does it take for water to boil? The answer to that question and yours would be, it depends. Watch the ALL CAPS...people might think you're a ####

Eric-Pris gave you the typical timelines. (1-2 weeks for the letter to arrive via the mail. Several days - several weeks for the online status update)

The online updates have not been very timely in the past, so do not fret if it doesn't show a lot of action online.

We received an RFE letter on a Monday. I gathered the requested information and sent back to CSC by overnight express mail on Wednesday. On Friday we received an email from USCIS saying they received the requested RFE information and processing has continued with our AOS.

Thanks all , I recieved the ref on Monday , and responded yesterday ,

I hope it takes them few days to update the status , since my EAD is on hold as it was mentioned in the AOS ref
