Christmas won't be a bad time to visit although fares would be higher a bit. But it should be heartwarming to see all the happy faces as they see good old Santa from America with all those gifts to be given! :star:

The wait is long, but it is not so bad. It is a wonderful chance to get to know each other even better with with something to look forward to.

think positive i have seen in vj people got the noa2 in 18 days last week, u might get it sooner, good luck, i had my whole process in less than 6 months including her trip to usa with me, good luck to u in ur visa journey, abby n sheryl

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

I would love to go out for christmas but I have custody of my 5 & 3 year old so that would be out of the question but a great idea!!!! To abbey I would love for it to be that quick!!!!! If I got the ao2 in 18 days I would be on cloud 9 what a holiday season I would have!!!! Was that person that got it in the phils forum????? And for zen, was that quick? Is it a really good sign? Does that mean that there is not much work there right now? I noticed the receive date and the notice date are both the 21st I wonder if it was because I sent a money order instead of a check?

Our NOA1 didn't take long, but the NOA2, boy, that was a different story.

Be prepared to wait at leat 90 days. If your NOA2 comes out earlier than that, don't question it...just run with it and bask in the sunshine. :)

Yes, Abby's wife is Pinay...they got her a CR1 visa...not sure about the timelines, though...you can check theirs.

I would think that's why you have the same notice and receipt date. Ours was three days apart because my husband sent a personal check.

05-10-2018: Citizenship Interview - Passed English and Civics Tests, Recommended for Approval! :D 

06-19-2018: Received email and text notification: Naturalization Ceremony Scheduled; waited for letter to be uploaded on online account - it has been set on Wednesday, July 25, 3:00 p.m.

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!
