Do I need to translate the love letters?

I want to submit the love letters and chat print outs as our proof of relationship. There are hundreds of pages written in Russian language. Do you think they should be translated in English? I thought may be it is not important what exactly is in them and the purpose is to show that we actively communicate. So I am not sure if I need to translate them or not.

Thank you for responding! This is the first step I-129F application to USCIS. Of course I am going to send pictures to prove our face to face meeting. I also wanted to send the letters as proof of relationship but we have hundreds of pages and all of them in Russian. Do you think I shouldn’t send them at all, or send originals to show that we communicate or send originals and translated copies? Thanks!

You certainly are not "harmed" but I will tell you that I did not "front load" my I-129F with any letters. Front loading can be a good thing for high risk, high fraud consulates. You will need to decide if Moscow is one or not.

Sent both with the initial filing and then for the interview, summary listings of our emails, just the date, to whom and the subject line.

Then for the interview package, I printed out two emails. Both were typed in English and Russian,

The first email was about me describing the schools and preschools that are available in my town and the other is a lovey-dovey email. The firstl, for me, shows the typical content of our correspondence and the second describes how much we love each other. To me, since we intend to get married, a couple should be in love with each other and not afraid to show that.

Please do not print out a million separate emails; why try to break the adjucators back?

As already mentioned you do not need them for the petition. If you will use them as evidence at the interview, then YES I would suggest you have whichever ones you want to present translated. You would not have to present all of them. We gave 4 each over the period of time before our interview and they didn't even look at those.

Alla does certified Russian translations...sounds like a good job for her, how many did you say there were?

FWIW, we hear from a lot of couples for whom Alla does translations and these things often turn into more than a business proposition and we have many acquaintances that we have kept in contact with. From what I have heard, Moscow does not treat people as a high fraud consulate does, but seems a bit more difficult than Kiev, at least some of their policies are stricter (ALL children must attend K-2 interviews for example) but Moscow, from what I can tell, is not a "difficult" consulate.

You can make your own decision on adding proof of relationship to the petition but I have never heard of it making a difference at the consulate. There is a VERY active Russia/Ukraine/Belarus sub-forum here (RUB as they call it) and you can certainly get a lot of feedback there.
