I have a question around the medical checks, I am yet to receieve my NOA2 however I wanted to get prepared for all the next steps in the process.

So my question is will the Sydney based physians book you in for your medical check before you have received approval? If so will there be any complications by getting your medical report done before even getting approval or is it best to wait?

I started to prepare my documents before I got the NOA2. I booked my medical early too but its not for a couple of weeks yet (because the doctor is overseas ) and it turned out my NOA2 came in the meantime. I am in Adelaide and initially I was told I had to have the approval documents, but seeing as the doctor provides the forms (at least that is the case in Adelaide), I booked the medical without the approval. There are things you can get started for the medical beforehand, like getting your bloodtests and any immunistations you need. I also got the xrays and police check done early too, cos sitting and waiting was driving me crazy!

Give the physician a call and see if they provide the forms you need. And GOOD LUCK!

Thank you Miss Natalie. It just so happens I got my approval overnight so I called today to make my medical appointment which I got for next week..

My next question is are we required to do the fingerprint check for the police records which is $175.00 or just the standard version of the police check?
