I have bought the perfect sandals to go with my wedding dress apart from the fact that the strap that goes across the toes is killing me. I am wearing them around the house to try and wear them in but they are not giving...my feet are narrow but they still dig in...does anybody have any tips on how to make them give a little?

Well. Some shoes just won't give. If they are that uncomfortable for you, maybe you should just buy some different ones. I bought a pair of shoes to go with my Salwar Kameez that I wore for mine and Ryan's engagement party while I was in India, but they never arrived until the day of the party, so I had NO time to break them in. I ended up wearing an old pair of shoes because I had no other options. Best of luck!

i would just continue to wear them around the house as you're doing. you have a little over 2 months until your wedding ... this is a lot of time to condition the skin on your toe and hopefully break the sandals in a bit more.

i would also carefully weigh mandi's opinion because she has a good point! since time is on your side ... look around now for backup just in case you really can't wear the sandals you have now!

best of luck to you!!

go to the shoe store there is a spray called shoe stretch. you spray it on the shoes and it makes the

leather feel like its melting and will make them feel broken in better...:)

you can buy the can at wal mart and sears .. anyplace you get shoes normaly found in leather areas.

If they're leather they'll stretch with wear... if they're vinyl or plastic or those fashional 'metallic' sandals which are mostly clear plastic with a little strip of decoration across the top, then I'm afraid you're SOL...

if they are real leather a tip that was given me when I was in Spain and bought some spanish leather shoes that were a wee bit tight was to massage them with either nivea cream (honest) or a bit of vaseline, just keep massaging it in and it stretches the leather. it worked too!!!

I saw the rubbing alcohol trick on ####### Eye last week. Just rub it in the inside with a cotton ball and it should help to stretch the leather (if its leather).

I've also stuffed shoes with towells or paper towells to stretch them. Or give them to someone with a bit fatter foot to wear them around a day or two ;)
