Wish I had something substantial to say other than I'm thinking about you and others who have loved ones in the Phils. I do hope you hear something soon. Please let us know when you do hear from her.

With the electricity and phone system down in much of the north, there's not much you can do except wait for her to contact you. You have my deepest sympathy. That typhoon is now off the coast of central Vietnam, and headed directly for the city where my fiance lives. :crying:

My fiance is in Manila at a hotel on the 3rd floor. I just got a text message. She said the electricity has been a total blackout for 2 days. That message was at a out 8:20 am this morning (Sunday morning). It may be awhile for the power and phone service to be restored. I could not even reach Pat's cell phone, so either her phone battery ran down or the towers serving cell phone service were blacked out. Pat toldme there are still some areas in the area flooded.

Rizal area is really in a bad situation right now. I'm from Cavite but got stranded also yesterday and had to stay overnight in the office due to some flooded areas. A lot of people are reaching out to those people especially in Rizal. I hope you will hear from her soon.

I am praying for everyone who are affected by the typhoon and for their loved ones who are worried and can't communicate with them as of now. I know how you feel as I was trying to contact my father yesterday just to know how badly they were affected.

We all need to be strong for our family and friends back home. Let's all pray for their safety and provisions for food and medicine.

I live in Puerto Rico so we get hit by those hurricanes from time to time. When the electricity goes out the first priority is to give it back to water treatment plants so that thay can get back to work as soon as possible and restore the water service. Communications is another matter with their infrastructure damaged. I hope you will hear from her soon. Corina was very worried when tropical storm Erika was about to hit us last month. So I know how it feels. We will pray for her safety and those in Vietnam too. God bless.

PEACE.................

When you love someone from the bottom of your heart; so much that you are willing to give your life for your loved one, time and distance takes a backseat. Only love prevails. And with love in you hearts you can overcome anything.
