Johanna is in Colombia and I did not have many choices so I sent her three dozen Red Roses and a big stuff Bear that is holding a big heart and it says “I Love You”. She loved it a lot and was crying with happiness. Especially since Valentine Day in Colombia is on 9/26 (I believe) and I had sent her another gift on that day. (L)(F)

well, for sanita nothing ( no american citizen there) for me..i gave her a list and will take her to buy this week-end..i know i spoil her...

So, Dean, what's Sanita's email address? I feel this situation may need some intervention.

I agree!!!

et tu sister fraces...... :o:o

I would definitely email her and set her straight if I felt you were being in the slightest bit serious. You're waaaaay too nice a guy (from what I glean here) to not remember your lovely lady on a romantic day!

But I thought I'd play along a bit at your attempt to be "disaffected macho ignorant guy." :P

you know me to well ceCrise..of course i am joking...besides they celebrate valentine's day in almaty...i was shocked..i knew i should have married a counrty girl

My wife's birthday was the seventh, so she has received a different gift every day from then til today, all I have left to give is a bracelet. Nothing huge, just a nice little shell type bracelet. Ooh and I surprised her at work with lunch, I brought it to her and we ate outside (Dean you know why! This weather is nuts)

i hear you my friend, 60 today..i admire your style...

I know...isn't it cute how Bro Dean plays hard guy...:D

I don't even buy that ####### from A.S.....both softies if you ask me...

On the DMIG scale, Bro Dean is a 1 and A.S. is a 1.5, with a 10 being the worst...LOL

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I'm not sure what the Yank has gotten me yet....though he did get me a silly little heart shaped box of chocolates this morning just to make me laugh.

He really likes sushi so I got him all the necessary things needed to make said sushi...and a neat instruction book. I figured we could learn how to do it together, plus he really likes cooking together so I think it will work well. I know he'd prefere that to a teddy bear etc...(not that I didn't want to buy him a big goofy bear of course...I had to resist temptation!). We'll see if he likes it!

I also made him a card because I'm cheap. And I was bored at work lol :D

I got my hubby 3 cards. One for his B-day, one for Valenitines, one for our six month anniversary. I wrote a novel in each one. I then got a magazine my husband likes. Put his face on the front, and wrote an article about him glued to the inside pages. And he also go a DVD.

We aren't giving each other big gifts. He's giving me a card, flowers and maybe a stuffed animal or something(that's my idea, he's on his way home from work and stopping at the store! hehe). I gave him a card, and chocolate and cooked a really nice dinner. I'm hungry, hope he's home soon! :) I just don't feel the need of buying expensive things on v-day, there's too much money spent through out the year on things like birthdays, anniversary, & Christmas to have to spend big on yet another holiday.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

This is all I'll share :luv:

Somehow

We who were adrift like two pieces of splintered wood

Amidst a sea too large to notice

Somehow we found each other

Whether burnt for warmth or shaped

Fashioned as it were into some child's thing

We are together

Found by hands too large to be my own

Let us dance together in the endless tide

To sink, rise on the swell, collide

Until my scars and marks are places you can fit

Until your knots and grain are places I can hide

Together we found each other

Somehow within the tumultuous currents

Wending jagged paths throughout the dark

Somehow we found each other

Somehow I will keep finding you.

:sigh: I love him so very muchly :luv:

I ordered my hubby timtams off of the internet. You can't get them anywhere and he just loves them.

He gave me yellow daisys. It was cute though, he hid them in the car overnight, and they died, but he didn't realize it until he'd been home for a couple of hours.
