I just had a delivery at work. 2 dozen assorted colored roses, a really nice vase, chocolates, and a teddy bear. I know that to some these seem cliche, but I love roses and have been collecting bears since I was a little girl. The little card that came with it was especially sweet. I will take the words from my husband over a greeting card any day.

I got a hug and a kiss and a I love you, just like every other day.... :)

I got my hubby a bowl and cup that say Lakers on them, yeah I know stupid :P but he liked them, and I also wrote him a poem (L)

We gave one another cards on Saturday while I was still in the UK. We don't usually do much for Valentine's Day as far as gifts are concerned...we are the sort of couple who buy little things frequently for one another throughout the year. A nice surprise was my stepfather took my little daughter out yesterday and let her buy both my mother and me two dozen roses each, plus 20 chocolate covered strawberries each. I thought that was very thoughtful of him and she was thrilled to pieces. She also made me a scarf on her own (took a piece of pink fuzzy material and cut hearts out of it).

I just posted a little while ago that my husband and I don't exchange gifts and we gave one another cards on Saturday when we were together in the UK. Just now the doorbell rang and it was a beautiful bouquet of sunflowers from him- I am in shock and extremely happy!

My wife's birthday was the seventh, so she has received a different gift every day from then til today, all I have left to give is a bracelet. Nothing huge, just a nice little shell type bracelet. Ooh and I surprised her at work with lunch, I brought it to her and we ate outside (Dean you know why! This weather is nuts)

I love my job.

Well, I can't speak for Valentine's day today... but a year ago, I was in Morocco with Jamal. On Valentine's Day - his family welcomed me as "daughter". It was a very precious and memorable day!
