i've been a green card resident for almost 2 years, i have to renew my card in august next year.

how long do i get that new card for, and also how long before i can apply to become a citizen in order to petition for my mom to come over and live here?

thanks in advance!!

Your new card will be valid for 10 years.

yes - you can file for citizenship after being a resident for 3 years (if still married) - which means you can file 90-days prior to the 3 year mark (your current and new card will have a "Resident Since" date - so 3 years from this date you can file for citizenship).

Once you become a citizen, you can follow this guide (link below):

Do not forget to look into Health Insurance for her.
