When was it transferred?

When were you notified?

When did it arrive in California?

How did you know it had arrived in California?

When you check your case status on the USCIS website, what does it tell you about California?

How long has it been in California?

How many times has it been touched since it arrived in California?

Thanks!

Mine was transferred July 6th. I had 2 e-mails that day telling me that. On July 11th or 12 I got a Notice of Action from Vermont telling me that my case had been transferred to California. Case status at USCIS says "On July 10 your I-130 was received here for processing. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete." The e-mail and the NOA both say "California has jurisdiction over the case" I have been touched 4 times since the original e-mail, the 6th, 11th, 12th and 13th.

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." - Mother Theresa

My application (NOA1 March 1, 2006) was transferred to California on 07/12/06. It has not been received in California yet, and the USCIS website does not show any updated status except that it was transferred to California. Should I be worried? It seems that many people's applications have already arrived in California and are already being worked on.

What I understand is that being touched does not nesessarily mean they are working on the case, it just gives us a little glimpse of hope and then leaves us waiting some more. It can just mean that the case was moved from one stack to another. Just relax and be patient. Worrying about all this will not do you any good or make your case move any faster. Read a good book, have an ice cream or do anything you enjoy while you wait. Whatever you have to do to keep busy and make the wait tolerable. It is out of our hands, the only thing we have the power to do is stay positive.
