With your words I can tell that you found something about your fiance. This might be a personal thing and we don't have the right to ask about this thing.

I hope everything will be alright..

Yes.....lancelotte

It a personal thing and it cannot be shared.....unfortunately.

If it was not PERSONAL, i would have shared it already.....

I am trying to find some humor here and joke about it.....so please understand my current state of mind....below.

All I can tell you that the next person....

she will be investigated and PROBED..... in places she don't even know she had...LOL

wow u r a bitter old man! guess what u arent the only person in the world who been lied to! married once ended in less than a year cause he lied! then i moved a few years later meant my daughter father who beat me for 5 years cause he was cheating on me, but i didnt know that until later , so he lied to me too but i moved forward cause i know im am better than that, then i was with someone 11years and guess what that was all lies from him, so i knew it was done, but i knew none of this were true love i think they were lust never love, all i wanted was friends to chat with so i went on a friendly chat room, then i found my soul mate, yes that what i said now we r engaged, for the past 20 years i never thought of marrying anyone again, i never knew i would ever have true love, a strong trusting love yes lots of trust between both of us, so i wasnt looking for love , god knew it was my time to fall in love and this is the next best gift i ever got from my lord. the 1st is my daugthers. keep ur chin up and beleive in our lord cause he holds our future in his hands.

Is this thread about you or him? How about trying to rethink the bitter and elderly comment. He's venting some very raw emotions right now. If you fell down and broke your ankle, the last thing you want to hear is someone calling you clumsy. THanks for trying to understand.

It's ironic how the truth can give you relief and a sense of humor about it all. There's no room to be bitter since you see your entire life before you - the kids. I have no clue what she did to you nor do I want to assume since I'm not in the position to do so but I wish you the best.

...most of the problems could have been fixed...some would have required a little extra time, but overall i am confident that now (after 3 years) she will be doing the CFO seminar now and be on the plane to US before THANKSGIVING.....

...My paperwork was perfect....following the VJ guideline, was even complimented how organized it was from the petitioner...

...Even the POLICE certificate ( from the other country !!!!!) was fine too...

...Hire a TRUSTED local private investigator before engaging in any long distance relationship......

...Ask for the documents required by the embassy beforehand,

have the "originals" mailed to you so you can see with your own eyes...

before you even starting any process...K1, IR/CR1 or what ever that may be...

Let me guess... She had forged docs. Perhaps something like... she was previously married and never told you about it?, and had you have known at the start of the relationship you would have by now, resolved those issues with correct and legal papers.

I am only guessing as to what happened to you but if it is such a case it is quite sad. Many filipinos use 'fixers' like it's some sort of standard practice so the notion of using any other means to resolve an issue is not even considered. They are likely influence by friends, family and community.

Im sorry Eros for the plight you've been through. Sometimes, life can be cruel but I have always believed that there will always be light at the end of the tunnel.

Having a LDR is really a big risk. Sometimes, heartache is inevitable..But you have to go on with life and find your real happiness. I just hope this wont traumatized you from having another Filipina friend.

I have been reading your thread (this one and the previous one) and has been very sad and making some wild guess. 'Here's praying that soon, things will be better for you.

Be strong and God Bless.

I've been following the first thread related on this, and this thread for a bit. First, it would be nice if the reason for denial would be share so that those who are still in this kind of journey would be aware of what to do and not to do. But as OP said its too personal. And we should respect that.

But then, for the pieces of hint that he shared. It wasn't really the police clearance abroad that caused for denial. It something to do with the beneficiary's identity or status. Well, census only deals with birth certificate, marriage certificate and death certificate.

Anyway, I guess, you should really thank God for saving you from future fatal problems that might occur in your life. It would be like living with a stranger. I hope you will not get scared of loving someone again because God is always at your side to protect you. Just keep believing on Him.

I know you did love her or maybe still love her. But shame on her, one of the reasons why most Filipina are being judge without giving a benefit of doubt.

Final comments to this story.......

I am really sorry of what is happening in that country with flooding, my heart and prayers goes to those unfortunate people.

I hope all of the VJ people are safe.......

I want to say this again.....before I get called some names, I am no way flaming or trolling....

that most Filipinas are hard working, Honest, Proud, good heart people....

I would have been fortunate to have one as Fiance/Wife and these were the main reason I ever got involved with one.... and would have been SO HAPPY to share with all of you a good ending instead of this ....

If I have given some advices in my posts previously, please understand the emotions involved in those moments.....

and in no way it is my intention to create doubts in your ongoing relationships.

These advices were meant for the people that are starting point of the relationship.....

"and yet have NOT MADE the commitment of the first trip / engagement or marriage in RP , and I will stand by those advices...."

Based on what I learned....

Understanding the RP culture and law, is very important

If marriage go sours between "FILIPINO and FILIPINA", there is no DIVORCE, so there are STUCK in this PURGATORY called separation.....for ever!

Annulment of marriage is very expensive....if not impossible, there is need of a lot "GREASE money" to make the wheel of justice moving in RP...

so make sure you are not being used for that reason or sometime they are too poor financially to afford such annulment.

you can ask her to get and then mail you some documents that you need originals of that are very helpful, right in the beginning...don't wait !!!!!

1. Ask her for a "NSO (National Statistics Offfice) certificate of non marriage", sometimes this is also called a "Certificate of no impeidment"

2. Ask her for a "NSO certificae of no live births"

3. Ask her for a "NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) clearance"

4. Ask for her for a "NSO birth certificate x 3"

Tell her that you checked out the US embassy website and need to get these papers so you can have them for the future. I recommend sending her $100 to arrange for these papers.

Tell her you need the original NSO's because the embassy will verify if they are real.

The non marriage and non birth certs will let you know if she's been married or had a child birth. Very helpful to know early on.

The police report will tell you about her criminal and extremist activity.

If she is certified with the PRC (Professional Regulation Council) you can go to their website to verify she's a "Nurse" or "Doctor" or whatever she is registered to be.

Otherwise what do you want to know about her?

The Private Investigator will be very obvious and she will find out someone is asking about her.

She will assume it is you?

Yes there are scams, the most common one I know of would be that she see's other men.

In that case, you can find out by making a fake account and contacting her to be your friend, and then see if she takes the bait and communicates with you and accepts your invite to meet her. Otherwise the Private Investigator really can't do much. It's up to you.

Be also careful about hiring local private investigators because some of them are SCAM themselves

For those who have asked privately ....

Private Investigators are not cheap....may cost you as much or as little (as a plane ticket to RP) depending on your specific request.....

For obvious reason, I will not recommend any specific one to you.....but you can use one at you own risk.

If this story save another person from experiencing what i have experienced then it was worth sharing....

Best Wishes to you all ....and thank you for sharing your friendship....
