Just finished FedEx'ing my 230. Back to waiting....

BTW, after contacting the embassy in Lima, they state that there is no need for any type of letter from the father of my stepson... They just cautioned us that the Peruvian authorities would require a travel authorization for him to leave the country. Now, we will see if NVC agrees with the embassy or if they RFE me....

mark :)

We are right behind you. I finally got the letter with everything we need to post the 230 tomorrow. Then back to the endless waiting.

The couple that viewed he house didnt make an offer. I knew that would have been too easy!

I checked the AVR when I got off from work this afternoon and it stated that I had some forms or documents that were missing and they mailed out a letter to me on 10/30/09. Would this be the 230 packet that I mailed out to them???:unsure:

Well, the three of us are almost on the same timeline for sending in the 230. My fedex was signed for on 10/28 and I still have the same AVR message today. They're so slow!!!!!! Did either of you get the instruction packet via email?

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Here's the best way I can explain it...a checklist is a stupid email that NVC will send you to put you into a panic, showing certain documents that have no been received by NVC yet, even though you paid a huge amount of money to have these "missing" docs fedexed overnight and know the infamous J. Desmond signed for it days ago. So basically you just need to ignore the email and have a huge glass of wine.

My grandfather came from Scotland, which makes me 1/4 Scot! I have the red curly hair to go with it. So...there ya have it!

I just gave NVC a ring, they said to just send another copy of the DS-230. Yayy. :D I'll do that today

Hopefully you had a copy so it will be easy peasy! :)

Yeeep! They said to just send in the form, not the entire IV package again. She said that might confuse them...haha. Hoping for a case complete by mid November. :3

I got nothing yet. I'm keeping an eye out, everytime an email comes in I'm checking it and even checking my spam folder. I should tell the hubby to keep an eye out for an email so we get something...

I wonder if anyone else for the Montreal Consulate that opted in emailed over the 230 package. The instructions when opting in say do not mail anything, it will delay your case, so I didn't... I emailed it... Here I go second guessing myself again.... Comeon NVC, send me the freakin email already! I"ll be calling them and talking to an operator for sure tomorrow...
