I just checked NVC again. My IV is still not showing as paid even though it definitely is paid. I hope it shows in the morning.

I'm having a rough night and with time change I can't even call or email him.

I knew what you meant. Wasn't there a movie not too long ago called It's all about the Benjamins?

Wow. No obscurity there Mark. I'm just an airhead lately! This whole process has killed some of my brain cells or something. Now I feel like a nitwit!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

I just sent out my IV package and I think I forgot the second part of my DS-230, the unsigned bit...I'm sure it's there though, I checked. >_< But my personal copy was missing the paper so I'm like OH NO. Hoping my memory isn't failing me and if not...RFE me and I'll overnight it LOL. X)

Bern-don't worry. This process messes with our minds! I've become an absent-minded airhead sometimes. It'll get straightened out if you forgot it.

I hope so! But I'm still going to call NVC tomorrow and see what they think I should do. I'm prepared to send another DS-230 if needed!

hmm if it really kills brain cells it would explain why I've been so befuddled lately!

Does anyone know how early NVC open and begin updates? I'm anxious to see my payment credited so I can print my paid receipt an cover sheet.

as for the nvc....i don't think they have a system at all that one can follow. your PAID STATUS WILL COME EITHER TONIGHT OR IN THE MORNING. I SEM TO HAVE GOTTEN ALL MY APPROVALS LATE IN NIGHT LIKE 3AM OR LATE EENING AT 7PM OR SO. I HOPE THIS HELPS.

I just received the Instruction Packet via email. I'm not sure if this is significant or just another BS email!!!! It still sounds like they haven't received the 230. I'm confused by all these stupid emails. Anyone else get one?
