When y'all sent the photos with the 230, how did you present them? Did you write the names on the backs? Anything else? Did you put them in little baggies attached to sheets of paper, like we did the the G325a?

I am almost ready to send mine. Just a couple of items to fill in and copies to be made, then I am ready....

Mark :)

I wrote his name on the back of the photos and put them in small baggies and stapled them to a sheet of paper just like the G325a's. I figured it was neat enought for the USCIS then it's good enough for the US Dept.

Good Luck!

We paid the IV bill Thurs, got the email Friday and it went from saying "In Process" to not paid and now it is "In Process". My bank has paid the $400. I see it left yesterday. So I should see it paid with NVC Monday , right?

If that goes through and the envelope with his police report and photos gets here we can send this week I hope.

The medical is booked. How long after you submit everything until you get an interview date?

Wow, this is really happening!:dance: Woo hoo!!

It depends on the consulate. For example, some people from July in Canada are still awaiting interviews. But they SHOULD schedule interviews, the second week of every month. And if in doubt, contact NVC. :)

I don't know how the embassy is in cairo, but I am hoping for a December interview too!!! NVC sent the K3 application to the embassy in July and I still haven't heard from cairo on that note...I hope that isn't a sign for the CR1 :whistle:

Did anyone else get a "checklist" via email saying something you sent was missing? Is this what everyone is calling a false RFE?

I sent my 230 last week and fedex delivered it on Wednesday. It's not in the system yet. A week from Monday is the 2nd week of Nov, when they start scheduling interviews. I won't be able to get an interview in December, because it's taking at least 1 1/2 weeks for the 230 to be accepted once it's in their system. That would put me towards the end of the scheduling week if I'm lucky, and by the time it gets to the embassy...well, I'm now planning on a January interview. I should have started this process the minute I got back after getting married! Darn. You December people are so lucky!!!!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

I am kinda hoping we get the interview after Jan 1st so house can be sold and I can get time off to meet him in London.

I'm living for the day when no one keeps us apart. I miss my hubby every day. :crying:

I know-it sucks. I may just fly off and visit my hubby at the end of November. I have a work trip to Alaska smack in the middle of November that's screwing my schedule up! Who knows where we're spending Xmas. I wish NVC would move a little faster...

Thanks Randy!

I wonder if J. Desmond gets writer's cramp?

Probably a rubber stamp. The signer for our I-130 at USCIS was a rubber stamp when we got the return receipt card back in the mail. NVC is alot busier.

Well, then maybe she's just missing a hand because it fell off.

David and my mother in law will be here for Thanksgiving but xmas is up in the air. My birthday is two days after xmas and I would give anything to have that week as we planed but now it doesnt look promising.

I would LOVE to see Alaska!!!!
