Ok I checked my checking account this morning and it showed the $400 was deducted from my account all ready considering I just paid online last night~~~ WELLL I got home and checked the website and it is showing PAID!! :dance::dance:

So I have all his papers with me now to send in with his ds-230...question...I printed the cover letter to go with the papers, but should I do a separate cover letter like we did for the 864???? AND should the cover letter come from me or my husband??? (I'm mailing it all from the US, don't want to depend on Egyptian post)

As I was putting the final touches on the ds-230 packet, I went to the website to look at the follow up instructions and the IV bill is showing NOT PAID now! Good thing I printed out the cover letter and sent the copy of the receipt to mine and my husbands email address!!!

And I got the email saying the bill was availabe AFTER I paid it!!!!! I guess the website and emailing system aren't in sync with each other!!!!

Another thing... Has anyone received any snail mail from NVC? I have seen neither hide nor hair (or I guess it should be "neither envelope nor stamp") of any correspondence from them...

I've not received the letter with my choice of agent form they say they sent out over 2 weeks ago. We've not had a single email either. If it wasn't for the AVR we'd be really worried by now. :(

The only "snail mail" I had gotten from the NVC is the letter stating that my I-129 for K3 visa was forwarded to the embassy in Cairo...and that was several weeks ago and I have heard anymore from either places.

Ok, now the IV bill is showing PAID again...whew... but I can't access the instruction link below the receipt buttons...has anyone else had trouble with that??? And what is on there that I need to worry about before I take off to the post office to mail the ds-230 packet? Did anyone put the NVC case # on the original forms?? I really don't want to mark on the original forms.... :unsure:

that is the exact same thing that happened to us. i had to get a supervisor involved because nvc told me that they will not complete the case unless it is marked paid also. so if i were you, i would call and put a supervisor on it. i had already sent the ds230 immediately after it was marked paid the first time. so i technically didn't lose any time. it was just a hassle.

i attached a photocopy with the originals and that's where i placed the NVC case #. like you i didn't want to put any marking on the original documents I sent out.

... Senora, we are almost on the same timeline now!!! I sent mine today too!

That's good, FinnLove. Now, we'll just hope that the next correspondence that we get from NVC will advise us that the case has been completed. Then, we can really take it easy and then brace ourselves for the medical exam and interview. :thumbs:

I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I was preparing mine for fedex. Here's what I did-I wrote the case # in pen on photocopies, and in pencil on the originals! It took me an hour to find a pencil at work-ha! And my instruction link wouldn't work yesterday either. You are overnighting your packet right? Don't send it regular mail!!!!

I don't know if I received one, because I've misplaced the key to my mailbox!!!!!

The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Website showing 400 IV bill "NOT PAID" on both cases. No email. AVR not updated. Customer service at NVC states system not updated showing invoiced yet. She (customer service rep) advised me to wait a couple of days. Grrrr.

And this just proves everyone at NVC has a different story! I called and they said it was fine-as did a few other people. Weird. Okay not so weird really!

So...anyone who has case complete...did any of you pay the IV bill before getting the email and not have any issues with that?????? I know several of us have but we just sent our 230 packet out. I was wondering about those of you that are done. Let us know-thanks!

just called avr, states that they received our ds-3032. when will they generate IV fee bill???

You should have it by Friday hopefully! Mine was 1-2 days later.

NVC ACKNOWLEDGE TO HAVE OUR DS3032 ON FRIDAY 23RD, BUT TILL DATE NO IV BILL. Call and was told by operate it hasn't been review into their system.

I just sent it express mail and sent a copy to my husband..So the NVC will get it tomorrow!! I hope that there is no RFE and it's enough time for a December interview!!! :dance:

I ended up writing the NVC number with a pen..I didn't have a pencil :angry: oh well they better not lose them!!!

update for our case: got checklist email today and avr says ds230 received on oct. 26

so how long should we wait for case complete?

it will take approximately 1 week... be patient... for sure it will not take long... :thumbs:

this will be a dream come true since our's was entered in the system on oct 22, a week ago tomorrow. here is hoping for no rfe and the best :thumbs:

And why are pencils so hard to find??!!!! I had to ransack my office yesterday for one!

As usual when I say something hasn't happened it happens! I finally got the letter today. It was dated 15th October and was sent priority mail! I'd hate to wait for the slow version. Maybe if I say the IV bill isn't invoiced yet it'll happen today too! :lol:

That's what I did too AND I went on the DOS website and looked at the NVC stuff...just couldn't get the link to work..Oh well, I am sure if I had missed something they will let me know!!!!!
