So I have all his papers with me now to send in with his ds-230...question...I printed the cover letter to go with the papers, but should I do a separate cover letter like we did for the 864???? AND should the cover letter come from me or my husband??? (I'm mailing it all from the US, don't want to depend on Egyptian post)

Yeah, prepare a separate cover letter like what you did for the AOS. I presume you are the agent, hence, it's your cover letter.

update for our case: got checklist email today and avr says ds230 received on oct. 26

so how long should we wait for case complete?

Hi, I'm just curious as to what the checklist says. Based on timelines of other people here, it might take approximately 15 days if everything is in order.

My new hometown - Corona, California

I did the same cover letter that I did for the AOS-well, cutting and adding the correct stuff of course! Senora, we are almost on the same timeline now!!! I sent mine today too!

Ok I checked my checking account this morning and it showed the $400 was deducted from my account all ready considering I just paid online last night~~~ WELLL I got home and checked the website and it is showing PAID!! :dance::dance:

Thanks Randy! I still don't see anything resembling a checklist on that link though. It gave descriptions of AVR messages. You know, I barely check the AVR. I've missed some messages!!!!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Regarding the IV bill, I actually had my wife email her DS-3032 about a week ago, but the NVC voice message still doesnt state it has been accepted. I noticed also that when I paid the AoS bill online a few days ago, the fee for the Immigrant Visa is marked as "NOT INVOICED". Do you think it would be ok to go ahead and pay for it once it becomes marked as "NOT PAID"? This is just in case the voice message doesn't update to state that they received the DS-3032 (I mean, if it changes to "NOT PAID", it must mean that the IV fee bill has been generated and the site is allowing you to go ahead and pay the bill...)

Website showing 400 IV bill "NOT PAID" on both cases. No email. AVR not updated. Customer service at NVC states system not updated showing invoiced yet. She (customer service rep) advised me to wait a couple of days. Grrrr.

Another thing... Has anyone received any snail mail from NVC? I have seen neither hide nor hair (or I guess it should be "neither envelope nor stamp") of any correspondence from them...
