David's Girl-my 864 was accepted on 10/22, and I think my 3032 was accepted on 10/23. I noticed the IV bill on 10/24. No email though...

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

for clarifying as I had no clue what you meant. I do not believe I said anything innappropriate for this forum. This one and July and Aug filers are really the only ones I read. I was thinking no one wanted us here anymore but as I read other comments I see that is not the case (thanks Abbie, Finn, Mark,And Sam, Mary, bequillera etc etc ) and I refuse to let one rotten apple spoil the bunch. I blocked the one who doesnt like me and now we wont need to deal with each other. Life is too short to waste.

We all need to help each other through this mess! I try and be helpful and I find you guys terrific support too.

Ok now a question for those of you a few weeks ahead of me. How long did it take between paying te $70 AOS and getting an email asking for the $400 and the forms from spouse? I sent in my AOS packet and paid my $70 but the $400 still says not invoiced.

What happens if we wait for Interview date to schedule the medical and there are no appointments left between then and the Interview? I am not nervous that he has not had the medical I am a wreck because he has not even scheduled it.

Oh and Finn looks like you worried for nothing! Glad it is working out in your favour.

and for those of you on Sheka watch she was on August earlier and is doing well. I think all the prayers and positive energy must be helping !!

I'm glad I dont really have to leave. This is hard enough without going it alone.

U WELCOME WE ENJOY AND EVERYONE HERE ,AND ABOUT HOW LONG IS TAKING FROM DS3220 TILL U SEE IV BILL IT TOOK ME 20 DAYS TO SEE IT INVOICED AND TILL THIS DATE IM WAITING FOR EMAIL JJAJAJAJ

20 days! Ugh. I was hoping they were quicker than that but I guess not.

Through the AVR-I usually call off-hours so it'll go directly into the automated system. I haven't figured out how to do that when they're actually answering phones! Sometimes it goes into AVR, and sometimes you sit on hold for a real person. Weird. All you need is your NVC case # to access it. You can tell on the DOS website when things are paid also.

I had no trouble seeing the AOS paid. I printed the cover sheet and sent in the AOS financial stuff but so far they have not asked for his packet of info or the IV fee. I can confirm the choice of agent and AOS stuff got there but I cant tell if they opened it and did anything with it. I wish they would at least acknowledge receipt choice of agent.

david's girl, just to reiterate what everyone else has said. never let anyone sway you from a place that is willing to help you  it's just not worth it :)

it took 14 days from our ds3032 to our iv bill becoming available for payment. it is averaging about 2-3 weeks.

I have the bill since thursday but no emails yet...so still waiting, this sucks

I am debating on paying without the email.....hmmmmmmmm :whistle::innocent:

I paid mine without the email as soon as it showed up and had no problems the new invoice ID matched itself up, but im not in a big hurry either now, but still just took 3 days to pay get the acceptance of the choice of agent, bill showing paid and printed off cover sheet. Best of luck to you all, seems like everyone is going really fast here. At least its not like the USCIS waiting game that was so awful.

Ok. So it looks like we need to try really hard to be patient another few weeks before we can move to the next step. I check every day to see if they have the bill ready yet.

Quick question What is AVR? I see it in your time line and I am not sure. Thanks :)

AVR is the wonderful automated voice response system that you get when you call NVC...

To And_Sam... Were you invoiced for the $$ in the sytem? If so, call NVC and clarify why you have not gotten the notification... But do not just go and pay things if they have not been invoiced... Like paying an electric bill before the house is built!!

I don't know what you mean invoiced for the money in the system.. I paid the $70 then got the cover letter and mailed in my 864 package. I see that the IV bill is available to pay but I thought I was suppose to wait for an email saying that I had to pay the IV bill...no email but IV bill is available on the website...is that what you mean??? The bill must be available right??

we had the IV bill available on the same day yours was and we thought of waiting for the email too. but we got tired of waiting so after 24 hours of it being available for payment, we sent they payment last friday. it now shows as paid so im printing the cover page and sending my the DS-230 packet today. you might want to take your chance and send the payment, for all we know it might take weeks for you to get the email considering how slow processing is right now.

NVC AVR is saying that we are missing some documents and NVC operator has confirmed it's the DS-230 we are missing. Hopefully after i send my packet today the next thing we will hear from them is case complete.

Today is the husband's birthday so this is truly a lovely gift not just for him but for me too :D

you do need the doc cover sheet which has the barcode on it.

I called the NVC and asked if it was OK to pay it since I got tired of waiting. Then I got the email the next day but the attachments were dated for the day I paid it. Since the link won't work for the documents and further instructions, I'm now going to see if I can print a barcode for the DS-230.....

Does anyone know if there is a barcode needed for the DS-230???? I can't stand that this link isn't working!!!!! GRRRRRRR

I just assumed that there needed to be a bar code on the DS-230 itself, but I just called the NVC and they said no. I'm so impatient and totally doubting everything these days! The instructions link didn't work, but I've read the guide enough to know what to do, I was just unsure of the barcode thing. Now I have it and am good to go! Just need to fix one answer on the form, then can have the hubby sign it tonight when I get home, then everything can go!

I wonder though, since I am electronically filing with Montreal if it matters when he shows up for his interview if his picture is not the same as the one I scan and send with this package... See... second guessing!!!! LOL

Ooh, I hope not! My hubby fedexed his 230 and paperwork to me a week ago. At this point if it needs a bar code, I'll be the one filling out the first page! He was so frustrated filling that form out since he couldn't save it. I don't know why they can't fix those forms!

Those forms are horrible! My husband gets too frustrated filling out stuff, so I did it all for him.... Yeah, he's not spoiled. And no, there is no bar code for the 230, Finn, so you are fine once you are showing paid.

And off to scanning I go!!! YIPPIE!!!!!!!!!! I SO can't wait for all of this to be done.....
