Just wanted to let you know I paid my IV bill when it showed up to be paid on the same invoice as the AOS, that was on the 22nd, then on Sat. the next day I did get the new invoice number as my payment was taken out of my bank and yesterday it showed paid with the new invoice number and was able to print off the cover letter. It all linked itself together.

that's cool. congrats

Okay...so does this mean you paid without getting the email? I can't remember who did that and who didn't...besides my huge mistake I made myself!

Scot-you crack me up! I'm 1/4 Scot, so we must all have the same sense of humor. I definitely inherited the Scottish hair!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Wow, I'm just catching up this morning. First of all, humor is a huge part of my life. I come from a family of funny people. I try to be funny in my job when I'm able to (and not piss anyone off!). There's no problem with humor here in this thread. I still didn't see the Scot's cheerleader comment, but I know the Scot is one funny Scot! Humor heals people. That's a known fact, and I've seen it firsthand. I think humor can help us get through immigration hell.

So everyone, keep on being funny! And no mean comments towards my VJ friends...

If Ms. Sheka popped in here, she'd be appalled.

Oh my!! Look what happens when you miss a couple of hours on VJ!! I am in agreement with Finn and Abbie, I love to have fun and joke! It helps with the waiting and the misery from being away from your love ones. I think Scot's sense of humor is great! And Diane, don't you dare leave this forum!! I feel all of you are my friends! We are all struggling in our own little way. There has been alot of good advice given here and some fun and enjoyment along the way too!!

As far as Scot's comment about US football, I thought it was funny and I don't even watch football but I do know they have cheerleaders to entice the audience!!!! Diane had every right to comment on her husbands thread!!! I would have said something if that was my husband! It was all innocent and comical! :luv: Where's the love ya'll???

Happy Monday everyone!!!! :thumbs::whistle::innocent:

I keep checking my email and STILL no email!! :bonk: I am about to pay it just for the heck of it!!!!! It's been available since Thursday!!!!

YES I HAVE ONLINE THATS WHERE IM LOOKING AND ITS NOT PENDING BUT PAYMENT CENTER SHOWS PAID .I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THAT HAPPENED TO ANYONE

You sent your payment in without getting the invoice in the email, right? I made that same mistake on Sat. Maybe that's what's going on-except I thought it was usually backwards and the bank would show the payment going thru and the NVC wouldn't...give it a couple of more days.

David's Girl-don't you dare go away! I look forward to your comments and the Scot's!!!!!

Here! Here! If you go away, I am going to hold my breath until you come back :)
