uh oh spaghetti o's. i didn't make a copy of my i864 form. i have access to everything, except for the completed form. i was going to send to my husband. i have the scanned copy of my tax transcripts, easy access to my "employment letter" and paycheck stub, and w2 form. now, i said all that to say this. how important is it to have made a copy of this? nvc already has it, and accepted it. do they not send it on to the embassy? if all else fails, i guess i can re-assemble it, and send it to my husband, but if it saves ink and trees, i would rather not.

Make another package... If, heaven forbid, something happens, they have questions on the form or you need to prove something from the form at the embassy, what then? Always be prepared... If you have the scanned copies of the documentation, you can send that and just fill out another 864...

Our IV bill is now available and is waiting to be paid. The husband is still on dreamland so i'll have to wait a few more hours but i am also thinking of waiting for the email from NVC before actually paying for the bill. I know it's fine to pay for it even without the email but since I have been reading a few people encountering problems when they paid for it even without the email, Im now more inclined to wait. what do you guys think?

I checked online and our IV bill is available too, but no email yet!! I think I am going to wait too!!! Just to be safe but it is driving me crazy!!!

how long do we have to wait for the email? another day gone to waste and we are itching on making that payment. this is one of those rare times we would gladly spend $400. teehee.

dont wait pay does 400 now u dont have to wait for email as long as it appears in the payment center payyyyyyyyyyy

Warning... A few people got stuck for an extra 4-5 days in limbo by not waiting for the e-mail... They process the money tomorrow before 3 PM, so even if you pay tonight, it wont be registerd and processed until tomorrow, why risk getting stuck for an extra coupel days to save a few hours tonight! Tomorrow morning you will have the official notification (usually by 9 AM, I would wait to pay till then.

It is not guaranteed that you will get hung up by paying tonight, but the risks far outway the benefits for waiting till tomorrow morning... My opinion!

yeah, i think i better wait. anyhoo, weekend is coming up so we would really have to wait till next week. it is better to play it safe right now than be stuck for another week just because of posting problem with the payment.

Who did the petitioner put as the primary contact on the 3032? That is who the e-mails go to... If the petitioner put the USC, then both will get the e-mails, if it is only the petitioner, then only they will get the e-mails... If both of you should be getting the e-mails, then call NVC and check to be sure they have both correct e-mails...

Now, regarding the payment... the payments are handled by a 3rd [arty billing, they process the payment and bills... When they get notification from the 3rd payth that processes the 3032 e-mails, then they prepare the bill (hense it shows on the website) notify NVC that it is ready and NVC sends e-mails saying to pay.

If you pay BEFORE nvc actually prepares the notification, sometimes (not all the time) you can get stuck in limbo land where you paid, NVC did not actually create the bill and there is a lapse in communication... kind of a grey area... if it happens you have to have a supervisor manually put in to look for the payment, which burns a few days as they will not do it until after like 5 days!!!

bottom line, better to wait the few hours..

i agree, wait. we paid it immediately, and are stuck in limbo that christeen is talking about. i just got off the phone again with the nvc and they are saying 10-15 business days. i also asked is if this is something the supervisor could do while i was on the phone with them, and the operator said that it is not something that could be done over the phone, because of the research involved. i put in the request on october 20, and still "on the waiting list" to be reviewed. so, again, i say, wait.

If the money has been taken from your account... call NVC again and get a supervisor, regular operators do not know... Just tell them a supervisor told you to call when the money was taken out of the account.... Only a supervisor knows what to do...

Christeen is right! I also pay immediately and get stuck as well but after I send them a proof of payment then status turn to "PAID."

ok, so nvc is getting on my last nerve. supervisor gave me the same song and dance the operator did.

Randy, what did you send? copy and pasted your bank statment or what?

i am more stressed out over this little incident than i ever was waiting for uscis.

I was told by the operator that I shouldn't pay ahead of time, not even the payment site allow you to pay, only pay when instructed by NVC.

So... please folk listen to christeen. She is absolutely right cause I got experience to prove it.

I called the operator and they told me to send proof of payment so I did. I went to my local bank and requested a transaction statement then let my banker sign it.
