I have a question to put out there today...I was on the NVC information page looking at the fees that we need to pay and I came across the Security Enhancement Fee. It is for $45.00, is this included when we pay the IV fee? Or is this a separate fee that we will get billed later on??

Thanks for all the help!

If they do not live in the same household as you, then they will file an 864... The houshold size for them is their family plus your spouse... They need to send in residency proof, their tax records and paystubs/employment letter... Just like what you submitted...

The 864A is for family residing in the same household as you...

So technically when I pay the IV bill it will be for a total of $400?? $355 for IV bill and then $45 for the Security enhancement fee???

I saw the website, that is where I got the amount from....just wondering..

Random question...is USA Priority mail any good? O_o

I used it Sat to send a packet from my home to Boston (approx 10 miles). It was papers and a few photos and it cost me $13.50 but it was supposed to arrive before 3pm today. If I mailed on a weekday it had next day by 3pm service for same fee. Long story short, I was in an accident last Dec and forgot appeal court is tomorrow so I sent in all my info before the Tues deadline.

Bank shows the AOS fee paid this morning, but that website still shows "in process"...

Switching gears, how do you know when the 3032 is accepted? Do you get an email or something?

Mark :)

Wow, you are catching up to me!

I think you know between the invoice being generated on the DOS website, and the automated service or a real live person at NVC telling you. It seems to take at least two weeks...mine hasn't been accepted yet, and my hubby emailed it and I fedexed it!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Once the DS-3032 is accepted, you'll be able to pay the IV bill. Haha. :)

Thats the best way to find out because in my case, my DS-3032 was accepted, and then 2 days later, I got the e-mail and then AVR updated.

I'm currently waiting on my husbands I-864 document. Then we'll be FINALLY moving along again. :)

Can I send the I 864 before the AOS payment has been accepted online?

Thanks, all. So, I should expect my IV bill around Halloween. Scary :)
