This 864EZ form is...pretty EZ actually!!!!! Glad I just happened to bring all my docs to work this morning at the last minute.

Im glad its working out for you I know it's all stressfull, I pulled the I-864ez off the USCIS website right after I sent off my I-130 I just did it all then, but I remember just filling in the blanks, I do have adobe so maybe theres something to it. I suck at computers too, I just hope for the best when It comes to pulling up info to PDF.

NO IV bill yet, but I haven't called the AVR since I gave them my emails. After seeing the wait time for the others it probally won't help to call so I will just wait as I can't do much after its paid. Its hard to stay calm sometimes but in our case we had to learn patience real quick and know that we will be together someday soon, and go with it. Hang in there everyone.

I'm probably going to get an RFE for bad handwriting on my 864EZ! I haven't even called NVC about the 3032. My hubby just emailed it last weekend, so I haven't really thought about calling. I'll wait until Wed. or so next week to start calling!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

I don't meet the eligibility requirements for the EZ form :(

So, I thought I read somewhere that the I-864 had to be notarized. But looking at the form's instructions I don't see this listed as a requirement. Am I missing something? Or am I right in assuming that no notary is required?

Mark :)

Darn! Well, keep checking. I think it was Christeen who said they update after 3PM. Mine was updated this morning-sometime between 7-9AM or so (west coast time!). Oh, it's already 3PM in NH!

I took three days for me. Take advantage of a few days of the down time!!!! I kind of like these breaks between steps at NVC...

And_Sam, your signature shows that you've paid the AOS fee bill twice?? Did you speak with an operator before doing this? I've read in the guides that we should not pay twice!

Yes I did pay it twice because I had a brain block and screwed up the routing number to my checking account so the first time it never got paid...so technically I didn't pay twice. The first one was rejected because it never made it to my checking account.BUT the second one was deducted out of my account..so I am still waiting.....

Hmm Magic, my hubby and I got our emails (AOS and 3032) three days after I called them. You should call NVC and ask.

So, finally my IV bill shown paid on the NVC website. But in order to get the police clearence certificate from Hong Kong, they need the checklist/letter from NVC for each beneficiary stating that NVC need th police clearence...I only find the cover sheet for the DS230 packet, but where do I find the checklist/letter from NVC that will include my husband name and also the need to have his police clearence? Will the NVC e-mail us with an instruction packet for the DS230 packet with a check list?

I"m so confused right now....

One option is also to go to the state department website and they have the requirements for the visa on there... It states that police clearances are required... Sounds like their just being a$$holes as most offices KNOW that police clearances are required for a US immigrant visa!!!
