A quick question please.

Was kind of working ahead so as to be ready when NVC finally get my file. Since my spouse is quiet far off, I downloaded DS3032 and forwarded for her to complete and sign then return to me. Now i have the sign copy, but the date she put on is 09/14/09. Our case # at NVC was created 10/09/09. Will the date be an issue at NVC.

Any ideas. Or i should request she sign another one and sent ?

Sorry, I can't give you a definitive answer to your question but from what I understand is that once your NVC case has been assigned you can send them the DS-3032 so that they know where to deliver the mail to. I think the DS-3032 is some kind of a consent form. Personally, I don't think they would care if the date is off as long as you signed and dated. Once you signed and dated the DS-3032, NVC can proceed their processing and when done they know where to send it to.

...and you're welcome, Finnlove!

I hope this helps.

OK.... let me clear up one thing..... YOU SHOULD NOT SEND NVC FORMS THAT THEY HAVE NOT ASKED FOR... OTHERWISE IT WILL BE REJECTED!!! JUST HAVING A CASE # ASSIGNED DOES NOT MEAN THAT NVC IS READY TO ACCEPT YOUR FORMS!!! Following this tip will save you A LOT of time and stress!!!! If you have given your e-mail addresses to NVC, they will e-mail you when the AOS fee bill is ready to be paid AND the 3032...

As far as the date, it should not be an issue since she dated the form when it was signed... But WAIT FOR NVC TO TELL YOU THEY ARE READY TO ACCEPT THE FORM until you send it otherwise it will not be accepted and you WILL have to do it again!!!

Sorry to sound so forceful, but I have seen this advice to send the form as soon as you get an NVC # on other threads and I dont want too many people to get scr**ed by doing this... The guides clearly state the following example; Trying to send in your forms before NVC is ready for them is like trying to pay your electric bill before the electric company billed you!!! I know it really sucks with how long they have been taking... but hang in there THEY WILL EVENTUALLY ASK YOU FOR THE FORMS!!!!

Thank you Christeen

Actually i didn't have the intentions of sending the form before NVC request them. The date issue just caught my attention. So wanted to have some ideas on it, and not wait untill when it is requested then I find myself with something that is not worth the pain.

Thank you very much for sharing your ideas and experience. I am a listener, hence wouldn't consider it forceful either.

Once more thank you

I have a question about the 864EZ. One question asks individual annual income, and another asks for the adjusted gross income for the past three years (which I get off the tax transcripts). Obviously those figures differ quite a bit (401k contributions aren't counted). I don't see my real annual income on the tax transcripts. Do I just put what's on my paystubs for the individual annual income? So does that also mean I have to put in a sampling for each year, going back three? This is probably a very stupid question but I'm tax illiterate!

This won't make a difference for me using this form-I just don't want to screw something up.

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

AWWW #######! After reading this I had to check my 864EZ form... I didn't even realize it said Adjusted Gross Income... I just put down my Gross Income. Not that it is that huge of a difference, but now I'm freaking that I didn't fill out the form with the right info! If I get an RFE for that.... GRRRRRRRR :bonk:

To answer your question, Finn, I believe you are asking about questions 18 and 19 on the EZ form. In 18 it basically asks how much you will make this year total. Question 19 asks for your adjusted gross income for the past 3 years. That info is on your transcripts.

Now I am going to go back and look at mine too! With sending in the IRS transcipts I guess they can see the adjusted income on that? Or is that too much to expect? I hope you won't get an RFE for it too..

Thanks Red & Sam! Sorry if I made you both worry about this now...and my question was kind of stupid. Now I realize that my current paystub will show what I put in question #18, so it wouldn't have to be confirmed by a tax transcript. I think I read the question wrong when I posted my question! This is why I get nervous even posting questions!!!!! Anyway, I'm sure a lot of people don't read the AGI thing in the parentheses, so hopefully it's no biggie!!!!

I just put what was on my tax transcript for the last 3 years and for current income I put what I make currently annually without taking out taxes and other stuff. I had no problems with this, I didn't include an employment letter. I sent in over years worth of pay stubs though.

Finally my husband's DS3032 is accepted and the IV bill is generated. I've just paid online and hoping that it will show processed by the end of the week. Then I can print off the check list/cover sheet so that when I visit him in Hong Kong in early Nov., we can get all his documents ready. The police clearence from Hong Kong actually won't be generated until we have the check list/cover sheet and they will send the clearance directly to NVC...and my husband is not in a good mood these days and of course he is procrasinating to get all his documents ready for the DS230 packet...

Anyway, it's moving along...though we are not in a hurry...but oh well, at least, it's going forward....

Good luck and best wishes every one!
