Hi paris

R u done with your NVC yet ? U have been a great help for March filers .

I sent my DS-3032 and AOS 2 days back . Hopefuly NVC will recieve it tomorrow .Can you give me a heads up , what to expect from NVC now . In terms , now whats the next step for me ? I am completely lost . Just got back to US on friday . I have no idea whats the next step of NVC .

Thanks again

YES, I completed NVC a few weeks ago. Once the DS-3032 is accepted by NVC they will make the IV bill available for payment. You pay it then, wait for it to show PAID, print coversheet, and send NVC your IV packet. Then after that, pretty much sit back and wiat 10 - 12 days for case complete, hoping for no RFE's at NVC.

For now start gathering your IV packet, its the police reports, birth certs, and etc on the beneficiary.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

i am thinking they only fill out the i864a. i haven't seen any co-sponsors so far who had to fill out both. the regular i864 is for you  someone correct me if i am wrong.

hello all.. SO TOTALLY agree with everyone, this immigration is addicting. never thought I'd be addicted with a government agency!! nyahaha! heck figuring the whole immigration process is harder than a calculus math question!!! argh!!!

quick question though bout I-864 and I-864A... I filled out I-864 and have a parent as a joint sponsor (were in the same household).. does parent need to fill out I-864 AND I-86A or JUST I-864A??

thanks for the reply.. through more reading and thru VJ.. ur absolutely correct... just need the I-864a for household member joint sponsor.. thanks!!! argh.. holiday 2day.. hopefully my AOS bill will go thru tomorrow..

Am I a total spaz? I haven't sent in my I-864 yet because I'm waiting for my AOS bill to show as paid (which I sent Friday night, so that won't be until tomorrow at the earliest!)....so how would someone send in the 3032 and the AOS at the same time? Am I doing it right?

I guess I should get my employment letter tomorrow and get my stuff together...including filling out the 864! Now I keep hearing about the 864EZ or something like that and don't even know where to find it.

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

When you send in your AOS package you can include the choice of agent form with it, granted that the beneficiary signed it and sent it to you (or you can just email it using the template)

The I864EZ is if you make enough to sponsor your spouse with just your income and don't need a co-sponsor or assets to be included.

Thanks Gundas! That's the form I want!

I was going off the Ling NVC Shortcut, which shows to wait until the AOS fee is received before the AOS package is sent out. My hubby emailed the 3032 (template) Saturday, and I'm going to print off his scanned copy and snail mail it too. So I guessed I added a few days to this whole process!

(edited) Okay maybe my mind is foggy this morning...you're saying you can send in the 3032 and AOS package together after the AOS bill is paid? We just shot out the 3032 and the fee payment at the same time (well, he was asleep when I sent the AOS bill payment online so he emailed the 3032 template the next morning!). I'm just following the shortcut religiously...

I posted this in a previous post.... might be of use in keeping things straight! Remember, these are 2 seperate streets that merge in the end!!!

For anyone confused the formula is this

Petitioner = Get NVC # + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send 854 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page

Benificerary = Get NVC# + receive 3032 + send 3032+ 3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay and wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail 230 package with all original/certified documents

======= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled

Good luck to all!!!

10/14/2000 - Met Aboard a Cruise ship

06/14/2003 - Married Savona Italy

I-130

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

Okay thanks Christeen and Gundas! So I actually saved time by having the hubby get out the 3032 asap.

Don't they send the original docs you sent to NVC to the embassy? Meaning..you send the original, but you don't need a 2nd original do you?

I'm so excited-my hubby just emailed me and got his last police cert today that we've been waiting for! Now we have everything needed and he just needs to get what he has to me!!! Sure hope they have overnight mail on his little island...

No, I don't think they need a 2nd orignal. From what I understand is this... When the case completed at NVC and forwarded to the embassy. The embassy must have all your original documents whether NVC has it or not, or got lost when case get transfer to the embassy. At the end, the embassy must have all the documentation (such as financial, birth cert, police cert, passport, and so on)

I hope this helps.

A quick question please.

Was kind of working ahead so as to be ready when NVC finally get my file. Since my spouse is quiet far off, I downloaded DS3032 and forwarded for her to complete and sign then return to me. Now i have the sign copy, but the date she put on is 09/14/09. Our case # at NVC was created 10/09/09. Will the date be an issue at NVC.

Any ideas. Or i should request she sign another one and sent ?
