I got it this morning-it was inputted yesterday!!!! Guess it wasn't in the system yet last night. I'm now on hold with the NVC! Yawn...

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

So my husband is supposed to call NVC and get our case number....nothing happens, I come on here, read that everyone has already got theirs, including those approved after us...so I thought I'd do it myself. Initially I was worried that they wouldn't speak to me as I'm not the petitioner, but hey ho no problem whatsoever, got our number (which had been assigned four days ago, ahem...just a second, that's Saturday! anyway I'm not complaining lol) gave our email addresses and hey presto we're on our way...how we just wait for those emails :)

WooHoo! NOA2 Hard Copies in the mail today. Right before I head off to Peru to be with my sweetie. Sadly (but not surprisingly) no NVC number yet...

Mark :)

Yay!

NVC number? What's that???

My hubby wears glasses. Should he wear them in the photos we send to NVC? I googled this and it's 50/50 so I can't figure it out!

I ordered my new passport with my name change (I had to pay full price, plus I expedited...wishful thinking on my part...). I had a debate going at the photo store on whether I could smile or not. I decided not to, and had the worst pic taken of me ever! I didn't want to risk getting rejected. They may just reject me for an awful picture.

If he wears them normally all the time then I would think it would be ok..??

See what this is doing to me? I'm actually sweating the small stuff!!!!

I had to have more passport photos taken last week for my police clearance certificate, and our instructions in the UK (regarding passport photos for anything official) is no smiling, no glasses, hair must be pulled back off face etc...I don't wear specs but with no smile and my hair back I look like a young headmistress!!

Congrats to Finn, Treehugger and everyone else getting movement on thier cases!!!!

Thanks Christeen :) So far it seems NVC is so much nicer than CSC...there's an element of give and take and things move along in a way that just doesn't happen at CSC (and the lady I spoke to was so very nice)...I'm so glad that's over!!

Hello everyone,

I Just got an email from NVC (nvcinquiry@state.gov) today (10/06/2009). There are two emails; first one is DS-3032, second is DS-3032 & Affidavit of Support (AOS).

Now...I got DS-3032 again on the second email? Does anyone of you has this? I know you will say...just ignore the first one and throw it away. I'm just curious. I hope it just a mistake.

Anyway, I paid $70 for AOS fee online and emailed DS-3032 to nvinquiry@state.gov today. Should I mail out the DS-3032 hard copy too?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Randy

I got a delievery fail with this email today and just now noticed it so what email do i use, I did nvcinquiry@state.gov thanks in advance
