I'm sure it'll be fine! This reminds me of a funny story...my hubby couldn't find any vaccination records so spent the two months before our interview (before we got the interview scheduled) getting every single vaccination, including all the ones we ourselves got as children (polio, etc...). He was missing one and at his medical he got it there. We met a woman there who also had no records, but never got any shots beforehand. They only gave her two....ha! So he didn't even need to get all the shots he ran around getting!

Also, they only took one passport-sized photo and he had four or something like that. When he originally got some taken, they were the wrong size so he had to go back out and get more. When the medical dude took his photo from him, he (med dude) took a pair of scissors and cut it down smaller! The consulate did the same thing with the ones we originally submitted!

We laugh about this now of course...

It's good to hear from you Finn!! Hope all is well with you!!

What is it with the different sizes photos??? My husband sent me like 20 of them and they were all sorts of sizes. I think out of the 20 I found 3 that were actually usable. So when I had him go get more for the medical and the interview I told him to make sure they are the 5cm X5cm size or they will reject them!!!

Congrats Mark! Was it easy for her?

The medical was okay. She is pretty nervous about the embassy interview on Tuesday.

Thanks for your help And Sam and everyone else also. I already paid both bills, the AOS fee and the IV fee, but i read not to send any documents until they ask for them. And i never received the AOS package yet or the IV package for my husband yet. I just emailed NVC yesterday telling them i never received the AOS package and i paid it on December 1st, the 70.00 fee. I have the cover sheets already, as the bills are paid and i printed them after i got the paid status.

So should i wait till they send me the packages and they request the forms or just go ahead and send in what they ask for on the NVC website?

Thanks everyone, sweetcitywife

:star:

Hi sweetcitywife~ You don't want to send in the forms before you pay the AOS first. You need the cover letter that will be available online once you pay for it. If you send it in before they ask for it, it can delay your case!! Just having them printed out and ready to go is enough!!!

Also, does anyone know if working for the government as a Prison official is like a Military record, that i need to get for NVC? My husband is a Prison Official for the govt in Morocco and not sure if this is considered like Military.

thanks, sweetcitywife

Good Morning Sweetcitywife! If you are able to print out the cover letter after paying the AOS and IV bill, mail them in!!

I don't think I even got an email asking for the packets. I just waited until I could print out their cover letter that had the case number on it and mailed it all in!! (don't forget to put in your own personal cover letter too!)

Good luck with it all!!!

I don't know if that is considered his military record or not. In Egypt, it's mandatory that all males 18 years and above has to serve in the Egyptian military unless they are exempt for some reason (only son, medical reason, etc...).

So I don't know about Morocco, if they have mandatory service or not....

Ouch.

I suggest not to wait on anything - NVC rarely SENDS you stuff in that fashion.

The forms are available on the USCIS website , fillable PDF format.

if you have a coversheet and a receipt for each set, you can send them in now. I can't think, for any reason, why NVC would SEND YOU FORMS or a PACKET (as a USC).

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

They do not SEND any packages, they notify you by e-mail with a link to download them... So if you have them ready to go... put them in the mail with the cover sheets... You elected to be notified by e-mail so everything they "send" is electronically... Mail them out...

Ha, I know! That was what was so funny-they just cut the "passport sized photos" to a smaller size right in front of us! We were laughing after that-after all that work getting them the right size. And of course they only needed one anyway...amazing they still had the ones I sent at the beginning!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!
