Wife had her medical today and gets the results tomorrow. One thing concerns me is that she has a follow-up vaccination for 02/12... I hope that doesn't cause any glitches in the interview on next Tuesday (I told her to schedule the medical when we first got the appointment notice. Grrrr!)

Is her follow up vaccination the same day as her interview? Also is it a second of a series of vaccinations? I am sure that it will be all right! I know what you mean though, my husband called to make an appt for his medical but the doctor told him to call back the first of February. They better have an available appt for him!!

Nope. Her (their) interview is 01/12, follow up vaccination 02/12 (a month later). If it is an issue, we will face more than a month set back. It is totally eating me up, especially since I warned her about this eventuality, but she wanted to wait until the last minute... It's a little frustrating (doubly so since it is completely out of my control).

I just talked to her and she said that it was the first of a 3 course vaccination (with the final one in June). She thinks it was tetanus, but I am unaware of a 3-course tetanus (of course I have just been doing the "every 10 year" booster thing on that one, except for one time that I missed because of a national shortage). We should know more tomorrow.

I wonder who "designated physicians" would be here? At that time she will be on my insurance, so I hope she can just go there...

Mark, no need to worry. My wife went for her exam 3 days before her interview and got her vaccinations and has to wait 6 weeks for her next 2nd set of vaccinations but was approved anyway. She was told she could get her 2nd set either here in China or in the US, that is, it did not matter so you do not need to worry. As long as the x-rays, the 1st set of vaccinations and the forms are completed by the physicians you should be good to go. Good luck!

Good Morning Mark...usually it's the hepatitis B series that is 3 vaccinations..I wouldn't worry about not being done before the interview. I am sure she is not the first one that didn't have the series done before the interview! Getting the first one is usually the main thing, I am sure they will let her follow up the rest of the vaccinations once she is here in the US.

Just make sure she has her vaccination record so she can get the rest of it done!!

Good luck! I am sure she will do great at the interview!!!

Hi Christeen, i did print out all the forms already and filled them and so did my mom who is the joint sponser and we have the extras for income all ready also, i can just send it without them asking for it? Is there a list that shows what to send in your package?

thanks, sweetcitywife

:star:

Dont wait around for something to come in the mail (864 package) you just download the 864 forms and have the USC fill them out and attach the tax and income information... You will not get anything in the mail...
