My hubby had his interview today (they let us do it a day early after medical so we had nothing with us!) and was approved! More later when I'm not typing on iphone. Congrats to others!

08/28/2009 - NO2 approval :D (can't wait for us to receive the hardcopy!)

NVC Journey

09/25/2009 - NVC case number assigned FINALLY! provided our email addresses

10/05/2009 - DS-3032/AOS Fee Bill Generated

10/05/2009 - Emailed DS-3032; Mailed DS-3032; Paid AOS Bill

10/07/2009 - AOS shows paid/AOS Cover Sheet Available

10/09/2009 - I-864 Package Sent out

10/19/2009 - NVC Received I-864 package

10/21/2009 - NVC confirmed receipt of completed DS-3032

10/22/2009 - IV fee bill now available (will wait for email before we pay it)

10/23/2009 - Paid IV fee bill

10/26/2009 - IV bill is now posted as paid/IV Cover Sheet Available

11/02/2009 - received checklist response as per AVR

I agree with Christeen!! Give your congressman a call. Sometimes all it takes is just a letter faxed from the aide will do the trick too!! :thumbs: It wouldn't hurt!!

I know, me too Diane. Specially since the NVC saw that it was a reasonable request to expidite. It's like even though the NVC said it was worthy, the person interviewing at the embassy didn't.

Hi everyone, Salam Allykum, im still here. Im now back in Morocco with my husband, thank god, Allhumdiallah.

Anyways, just trying to get through NVC process. I have a question on IV fee payment. When we filled out the DS3032 form, it says we are choosing an agent to receive all forms and bills. Since we chose my husband in Morocco, since im here also, do you think this will allow him to pay the IV fee bill with Moroccan dirhams or does he still have to pay using US dollars, even though he chose himself as the agent on the DS3032?

I just sent the DS3032 choice of agent email and we also mailed the hard copy on December 11th and it should arrive Jan 1st as it takes 21 days for mail to and from Morocco. I was reading the shortcuts on this site and it said you can email the form and mail it, so i did both. Maybe it will make our case go a little quicker in NVC.

So if anyone can answer my question on payment of the fee, if anyone has knoweledge would love to hear it.

Also, when my husband goes for his police record should he get two copies from the police department? Or just make copies? Does he have to get it translated into English or no?

Salam sweetcitywife! I am happy you have joined us here! It is my understanding that the IV fee payment has to be drawn from a bank in the US. You can do this via the website with a routing number from a bank account or with a check or money order. I am pretty sure you cannot pay with Moroccan dirhams. Are you able to obtain an American money order from a bank there in Morocco?

Emailing and mailing in the ds3032 is the smart thing to do.

Are you filing DCF there in Morocco?

NO FOREIGN CURRENCY.... US $$$ Only... And it MUST be drawn from a US bank account to be paid electronically...

No translation needed if he is interviewing in his own country...

very cool. nvc said they sent mine on the 16th, but they only have 3 shipments on dhl for that.
