I don't blame you but the whole reason for the expidition is because of your scheduled c-section!!! I still think if you called the DOS and tell them what the man said at the embassy about they needed to interview you might give them a chance to consider your husband to atleast be there when your baby is born!!

That just steams me!!

Hi from Naples! Medical tomorrow for the finn-we're confused on how many passport photos are needed and if they use ones already sent! Anyone?

I was my understanding that you needed 2 for the medical....I don't know!!!

For Lima, wifey-poo was told 3 photos for medical. So, I sent the ones back that I had been holding onto (since I had to send a bunch of stuff anyway). Still have pending question with embassy, though.

They won't accept a letter from your doctor and the pediatrician which will care for your baby when he/she arrives? It is flu season, babies (especially newborns) shouldn't be in places where there are alot of people crammed together in a small space, like in an airplane. The earliest we were told it would be safe to travel with our newborn would be after the first set of vaccinations at two months old...and Ideally after flu season. Also, I don't know if you've had a c-section before or not but two weeks after a c-section and you are still going to not be feeling right and it is going to be difficult to travel with a baby and you won't be able to lift any heavy luggage without hurting yourself.

Maybe you can reschedule the interview for a few months later so you can heal properly and the baby can travel a little more safely.

Either way, the situation, unfotunately sounds like a bunch of extra hassle. Sorry it's happening this way for you and your loved one.

Best Wishes

Had my Interview this morning and Visa approved! I had four huge folders with me but was luckily only asked for pictures. My interview with the Pre-Screener was only for 5 minutes and then another 5 minutes with the American Consul. Questions asked were how I met my husband, when we got married, what he does for a living and on where we are to live.

Sending my prayers and love to everyone. God is good!

Will your doctor even let you fly 10 days after surgery? Honestly, the rules surrounding this mess really make no sense sometimes. I'm so sorry that at a time when you should be peaceful and happy you are undergoing this stress.
